I think this is one of those arcs that would have played out better on a weekly series than it did in a show designed for "binge watching."

That sort of bothers me too.
Man is this guy playing the president awful or what? I'm not the biggest defender of Tony Goldwyn on "Scandal," but he seems infinitely more believable and compelling as a president than this clown. And comparing his wife to Bellamy Young? Not even close…
I assume it was more to make waves (and find someone willing to help) within the "deep web."
The Emmys combined the Movie and Miniseries categories.
I'll definitely agree that there has been "promo sexuality." The Alexandra Daddario topless scene was used heavily in the promotion of the show (yet somehow all those teasers did nothing to kill the awesomeness of the real thing). The stripper in the American flag swimsuit is featured in the show's titles. Next…
Not giving this show the credit it deserves, I initially thought he might have stumbled upon Lisa (especially since it seemed like they over-emphasized her element of the storyline in the "previously on"). And I was actually okay with that.
In all honesty, whether I agree or disagree with some of those criticisms, I'm not sure that they necessarily apply to the letter grade for this episode. I think this episode did a great job (certainly better than the first three) of playing to its strengths and hiding its weaknesses.
Because HBO doesn't sell advertisements, you can't look at ratings the way you normally do. You look at them as a reflection of subscriber interest rather than as a commodity for the commercial marketplace.
But are we supposed to take that as a euphemism for "I killed him?"
So whatever happened to Ginger?
Truth is that she brought nothing to the table from an acting standpoint (though I do expect her to keep getting work - everything about her look, not just her chest, is unbelievably striking) when her clothes were on. And since they're not just going to have a character walking around naked all the time, it's…
In fairness, I kind of assumed the miniseries thing was driven entirely by McConaughey and Harrelson not wanting to commit to a full-time series. Presumably, they'll be able to get big names like that every year if the commitment is only 8 episodes.
Younger daughter in the 2002 setting.
Would they really submit it as a miniseries?
This show is so much better than "The Walking Dead" that even cast member Bri Sharbino (Lizzie) had to make the jump this week…
If there's something I need less than Daryl being angsty, it's Beth narrating.
The actress is - but isn't the character supposed to be super young?
So reminded me of Michael Scott's "What's the difference between a salesMAN and a salesWOMAN?"
It's possible I have the progression of the scene wrong, but for some reason I remember him sarcastically calling her a "delight" prior to that..
