If the purpose of the episode were to prove how amazingly cast Cristin Milioti was, this episode was an A+. She was absolutely fantastic.

I thought the mother thing was obvious (I didn't even consider Ranjit, The Captain or anyone else) until being reminded by the review that she got into the backseat.
I wouldn't say the AV Club user base HATES this season by any means, but I'd say Donna is definitely higher on this season than the average AVC commenter.
I assumed that's where it was headed as well. It didn't help that I realized he was doing the same thing with his eyes that he did when pretending to be blind in "The Bracket"
I mean, yes, you can make sense of everything. If we presume that Ted got The Mother pregnant the night he proposed in May 2015 (or if we treat the vomiting as a hint — even though it wasn't presented that way — and assume she was a few weeks pregnant at the time of the proposal), then it's possible Penny could have…
Absolutely. But I guess any show that would have you believe he could pull off THAT long con could also get you to believe that he knew in his heart that Marshall would follow his passion and thus not be there when the chickens came home to roost.
I thought last week's was a million times funnier.
I think Avaitor understood that - the point was that Penny was *STILL* a really little baby in 2017.
To be fair, Pharoah's isn't great either. Pretty much all he has is that "JJJJeah"
I'm not going to try claiming Woody is in Alexandra Daddario's league (after seeing the scene tonight, I'm not sure anyone is in her league), but I'm not sure why you mentioned "cop" as a strike against his character.
I don't know that the impression itself is great (it's more the writing), but he's always funny as Steve Harvey.
Definitely. The review is way off; he WAS far more of a revelation than I think anyone expected. Between his energy, charisma, comedic timing and musical ability, he just crowned himself the next Justin Timberlake.
Agreed.
Here's the thing with the Nancy Grace impression. As someone familiar enough with her shtick but not a regular watcher, I (and I'm sure most of the audience was the same) know two things about her: the accent and the overbearing, biased manner in which she presents her opinions.
Opinions are opinions, but I can't agree on the Indiana Jones sketch.
I keep wanting to like her since she's a cute and seemingly likable enough girl, but you're right, she's just not good. She is particularly bad at impressions (including, as I've mentioned, at the Zooey Deschanel one that somehow made her famous), yet that seems to be her primary role on the show at this point.
The Men at Work season premiere did really weak numbers last night, which could work to this show's advantage.
That picture might actually be the smallest her ass ever looked on the show. It looked absolutely ridiculous in some of the shots tonight.
Asylum did the worst ratings by far, so clearly there is a difference between the AV Club and the masses.
Myrtle has to go. She officially blitzed by the line separating over-the-top from annoying.
