As hard as Lily Rabe worked to sell the Stevie Nicks scenes, they didn't do it for me. Positioning her as Fiona's toy, of sorts, felt way too silly (think Roy Hibbert on "Parks & Recreation" or anything Michael Bolton has done in the last few years), which clashed with the fact that she is revered as an artist and

Confused by Todd's notes. Wasn't "two birds with one stone" a reference to the following birds:

"This moment is so chill and absent of drama I want to call it Tim Duncan."

In fairness, outside of cuckolding scenarios in which a woman cheats on her elderly husband with a younger, more virile man, the mockery isn't usually directed at old people who either have medically driven ED or simply don't have the testosterone to fuel a sex drive.

Loved the drug visuals as well, but I don't think subtle is the word you meant…

Family Guy doesn't often edit that quickly - remember the Taken parody that aired like 2 years late?

Briga Heelan's ass. Review over.

I like that Donna brought up the contrast to last week's episode. I, however, approach them completely differently.

Everything else about that storyline lines up with THIS explanation, so I'm wondering if they perhaps just had her mistakenly driving the wrong direction.

Yeah, the fact that Javadi was already deputy intelligence chief made the notion of letting Brody escape unworkable. Any failure to capture Brody WOULD have fallen directly on Javadi's shoulders and thus prevented his ascension.

It was a great episode. But I have to admit, the emotion of this episode's hanging had NOTHING on the heartbreaking execution scene in The Killing.

*Technically,* the show has not yet changed the historical narrative.

Completely agree with that - they looked more like boyfriend and girlfriend than mother and son - but @avclub-4f32afe808cf47e3dfea599f83301585:disqus's point is even more notable. The idea that Diane has a son Bash's age is unbelievable enough, but for the priest to believe *KENNA* could be his mother is ridiculous.

"The real pulp payoffs here are that Nostradamus’ vision was wrong about Francis."

Because the point wasn't really for the audience to care about Aylee's death - it was to set the wheels in motion to nix the wedding and send Mary off into the sunset with Bash (for now).

Maybe it's just me, but I think Claire Danes looks so much better with darker hair. Really makes her eyes stand out.

The notorious issue with them is that they can't dance (they even mock their dancing in one of their videos). So the circular trade-off motion is really all they have.

But why is that an intriguing commentary? You can just as easily argue black people are sitting through crap Tyler Perry movies because, unlike the majority of high-profile films, they have primarily black casts.

But what does that have to do with Macklemore? I absolutely despise Macklemore (his voice is disgusting—cough or blow your nose or something, bro—and his flow is so unmelodious), but I see his music as a completely different experience than that of black rappers.

Props for the Office quote.
