Taissa Farmiga's a redhead? I have to get my eyes checked..
Realized that immediately after posting. So speaking of becoming less clever…
I initially laughed hysterically at "The Rachel," thinking it was a reference to Jennifer Aniston's famous hairstyle during Friends.
They ripped off the hat intervention from Family Guy. If you're willing to borrow from FG, you better damn well be willing to steal from Seinfeld.
I'm in the camp that says HIMYM screwed up. I still firmly believe they did!
Upon first listen/lyric read-through, "f…t" is what stood out. It was too offensive and too out of touch with today's world for me to overlook. It's one of those words that IS powerful enough to negate any supposed brilliance in the rest of the song. I actually complained to some friends about why the homophobia was…
I personally didn't but there are definite head-to-head comparisons that fall in Recovery's favor.
I don't know every lyric on Kanye West's album (though I'm sure he has some homophobic lyrics in his arsenal somewhere), but I don't see how the dick/swallower thing is explicitly homophobic.
If you're looking to tune out the lyrics, you don't listen to an Eminem album.
It continues to elude me why people think you can separate the f-word from its inherent homosexual context.
With an album like this, I think you get a variation of the image effect.
A "Modern Seinfeld" series? Yes.
Vomit free since 93 (and the re-return)!
I'm basing the lazy assertion on him saying that he used f@g cause that's the word he's always used for "punk" or "bitch."
Great point!
I think that's a bit much - her ass might not be your cup of tea, but Kim (at least until whatever weird surgery she seems to have gotten since her pregnancy) can be very pretty. As is Kourtney. And if she counts, Kendall Jenner is stunning.
Absurd that the guy who could write something as brilliant and touching as "Headlights" is still spending time writing immature, homophobic, lazy schlock like "Rap God."
My main takeaway from this week: the G in Gillian Jacobs is a hard G.
Frankly, I found this review refreshing.
