Yes, Michael was very clearly meant to be a buffoon (as are the dads on this show), and yes, part of the satisfaction of that scene came from Michael being put in his place.

I've seen the first two episodes.  Personally didn't mind the Brenda Song deal because I recognized that the clear purpose was to put a good-looking girl in a schoolgirl outfit.

I actually feel like Joe is the most annoying of the kids.  He's not as bad of an actor as his girlfriend and not as whiny as his sister, but he's literally the most punchable, belongs-stuffed-in-a-locker dork on TV right now.

— "Worse…a politician."  Worst TV line of all time.

I interpret their bond as the result of both being marginalized by the firm.  Louis is a remarkably-competent attorney but treated like a pariah due to his social quirks.  Katrina is talented and very hungry but treated like a pariah due to the fact that she was only hired as a favor.  Both are huge assets to the firm

Considering how absurd the show is with fact-checking (attributing a Godfather line to Sopranos, having Harvard alumni call "the place where you get square pizza" Pinocchio's rather than Noch's, acting as if it's remotely possible that Harvey could get the Nets to TRIPLE D-Will's max salary in the middle of a playoff

I think you're confusing Mike's ability to have some say in his relationship with his ability to control Rachel's life.

Need to see the full context of next week's discussion, but I don't think Mike's being inherently unfair or uncool there.

I've definitely heard this before, but from what I've read, it's something of an old wives' tale.

While it doesn't explain having only one obviously biased pundit on the panel, the show has technically already addressed the broader issue here.

I don't agree with the "thinking man's 24" line, but why is that supposed to be a bad thing anyway?  24, especially in it early days, was one of the most exciting shows ever.  To add THOUGHT to that would kind of make it incredible, wouldn't it?

Isn't Don technically the executive producer of the 10PM show, though?  He's never taken seriously on the show, but he's supposed to basically be Mac's equivalent - and above the level of someone like Jim.  Perhaps there's no money in that job, but it's still a powerful enough position that he wouldn't be considered a

My taste progression for the night:  Breaking Bad set the bar so high that Dexter was even worse than usual by comparison, but then Dexter set the bar so low that I enjoyed this.

There's just no way Hannah, a shrewd and sadistic killer who's managed to get away with murder for like two decades at this point, uses the kid's real name (and Debra's real name) when she checks into the hospital.

His confusion/sadness/fear that Walt would want HIM dead…just awesome work from the big guy.

Palestinian Chicken?

The "car wash professionals" are the people who actually wash/wax the cars.  I'd assume the ticket confirms some variation of which car is theirs + which services they paid for.

Proof that the obvious direction is sometimes obvious because it's the best one.

Another dull premiere.

I guess I'm more patient than most people - I didn't realize we were definitely going to learn the identity of The Beast this season; I kind of figured that could be the driving storyline for a long time.
