He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt on this one because celebrities are always "designing" things and they always do it in tandem with a professional (in this case, a jeweler) who actually knows how to design and make the object in question.  So one can presume that his input was something along the lines of "big

Wow, that sounds foul.

You have to be in 80s-movie mode to enjoy them. It was a different time, artistically speaking.  I'm not saying a better time … but Keaton was so charismatic.  Bale just seems dull to me.

I liked that Ethan Allen was wearing a Revolutionary War uniform (or something of the sort).

Totally.  The Jenna character reflects the insanity that is celebrity and what it means to be a female actor/entertainer over the age of 25.  I would not in a million years want to watch a serious drama on that theme, but as comedy it is bitingly hilarious.

Heppy Valentimes!

They had an actor play Bob Ballard.  Which is a little mystifying for those of us who had never heard of Bob Ballard before this show.

Don't you mean crushing it?

Totally agree except that I actually think Moretz was problematic in the same way.  The character was malevolent and scheming, and she played it well, but she still had that child actor thing going on in a way that sets my teeth on edge.

Maybe Anakin would have been dark and brooding and boring instead of wooden and boring.  Didn't someone already comment on the recent Batman movies and how unsatisfying Bale is as the hero?  Michael Keaton was a million times better.  Love him.  Where is he now?  Come back Michael Keaton!!  (Not as Batman, I do live

If the Kristen Wiig character had acted even close to normal, there would have been no story.  So, she had to be nutso.  And given genre conventions, the cop boyfriend had to go back to her in the end.  I was more troubled by the recent Irish immigrant on the police force.  I suppose it's possible, in "Chicago," but

Of course, we now know he's "on the spectrum" and that explains everything.

No, that was very well put.  I hadn't thought about it that way.  Good (and maybe obvious, but you still get credit for it) parallel w/LOTR/Frodo.

But he gave rise to the greatest gif of them all.

OMG can I "like" this more times?  Hate McNulty.  For me, it was a lot about the matinee-idol looks, which didn't fit in with the look and feel of the show at all, and more importantly, the crappy American accent.  He said "pleecing" (instead of "policing") in the very first episode and if I'd had popcorn I would have

Dittoes on Shia LaBoeuf.  Wall Street 2: Gag Me WIth a Spoon.

I really thought the Tams were supposed to be ambiguously Asian.  Part Asian or whatever.  Both actors could have been part Asian based on looks, especially Glau.  Not that that would really win any diversity/inclusiveness points, but I just always perceived it that way.

I have no weapons, but should I be forced to defend myself, my principles or my honor, here are my weapons: kara te.  My empty hands.

Disagree.  Worth it if only for the phrase "Commentary Tracks of the Damned," which is very clever.

Or a hobbit with a shotgun?
