Hey man. Just because they call someone a man doesn't mean they're, like, a man man.

I know superheroes don't die permanently in marvel movies but that fall was filmed beautifully. The view in Rhodey's helmet of darkness except for a spinning sky in his eyeholes was scary. It felt like a iron coffin for those few seconds.

Jean Teasdale columns are horrific to me. There's a line between parody and soul-crushing reality that the Onion treads on sometimes and those columns are too far on the soul-crushing reality side for me.

Meanwhile i keep getting hit with lawsuits because of my Slanderman pitch.
Seriously though, the Slenderman computer game in the woods looking for pages is very good and spooky.

Didn't watch the first one but did go to this one with the bf. The dwarf comedic lines were the best part and I really felt they missed the chance to make the whole movie a full-on fantasy parody. It's already borrowing elements of LOTR, GoT, Frozen, and public domain fairytales, why not be funny while doing it?

My favourite spy movie joke in Spy with Melissa McCarthy was that the CIA handler offices constantly had vermin infestations.

So was the climax unchanged then? The Sony execs were disappointed and then the climax was reshot?

15 years ago it was watching Fight Club for the first time on DVD in the basement alone.
More recently I saw a performance of Azul by Osvaldo Golijov two years ago that was the most moving orchestra piece that I've ever heard. Ita centred around a four piece including a cello and it was actually written with Yo Yo Ma

loved the end of Todd's story:
"So a general came up to me and asked if we were still up to that thing we discussed earlier. I said yes and he said 'God help us all' as he left the room. That might've not been the right thing to say."

I think the game is like facebook where part of the allure is the size of the userbase. Myspace still existing doesn't mean it plays a part in facebook users' lives. Plus it simplifies the fictional narrative.

ISIS really seems like a poorly chosen acronym for a Islamic terrorist group names themselves after an Egyptian goddess? Looking into more it looks like their name keeps changing and ISIL is now more accurate. It would've been difficult for Archer to ride out the controversy though it might've been funny for them to

but those names aren't as provocative or referring to such recent events. Though I guess that's only my point of view. Would a better comparison be naming a band Contras because you love the NES game and not caring enough to find out about the Latin American resistance and Iran-Contra scandal? Even though I love video

I would think that the director would get more credit for this to achieve consistency in the footage shot years apart without reshoots.
I'm assuming there were no CGI modelling done if reshoots were needed?

this seems as good a place as any to ask.
Why does shepard need to die at the beginning of Mass Effect 2? not just presumed dead but actually dead. They hammer it home that she was clinically dead and revived to her normal abilities. Is that important for story reasons? Is it meant to show how unique Shepard is?

Most viral marketing campaigns would've been happy without revealing executive salaries, executive emails, and executive pay disparity by gender but Sony went that extra mile.

I forgot about it and it's shocking but did it impact Batman's feelings and actions for the rest of the series? It was all Deadman's responsibility and he isn't in the rest of the series.

BBC's In Our Time podcast has an excellent episode with eminent scholars discussing Marco Polo's travels and their accuracy among other things.

"plans on pushing it through quickly for a 2106 release"
probably an unintentional typo but i'll still pounce on it.
…I've heard of development hell but this is ridiculous!

yeah, he complained recently that he wasn't getting any good roles lately. I can't sympathize with him when he does dreck like this.
