I totally agree! The JL intro distanced me from the characters. At least for JLU there's a guitar riff that let's you know that we're going to have exciting fun and quick shots of the episodes characters doing exciting things.

"Wait, you go through my trash?" "Please. I go through everyone's trash."
Almost every line from Question is gold, and that includes him singing along to girl group songs.
i really think that this was the best way Joker could die. Done in by his own hubris and not even having the material for a last joke.
I'm not a creative guy though so can only compare to the other major deaths he's had instead of hypothetical ones i could think up.
DKR - a brutal last laugh, it's ugly and nowhere near…
That projector room scene is amazing. With the movement and the lighting changes as the projector bounces around.
Plus the dialog!
Terry rattling off sci-fi speculation on how the Joker survived. Joker's last words are perfect, the best Joker death scene I've ever experience in any media. And Terry's taunting of the…

and yet he still had a girl willing to argue about the Walking Dead and drive back to patch things up!

I read the book and even the investigators ask each other what the deal with the island is if the whole story is allegory

I watched this episode when it was first on TV and still haven't watched Cape Fear. This seems like a case when the work is far superior to its source material. the episode is so hilarious without even watching Cape Fear i'm wondering if it could be even better after watching Cape Fear and understanding the references.

Be honest. It was an amazing car racing stunt movie but it clearly was not using the cast to their full potential. That's not a movie you watch for the acting.
