Some 20 odd years ago I got to interview/ hang out with Moe Tucker and Sterling Morrison after a gig they were doing for one of her solo albums… I have to say those two couldn't have been further from narcissistic assholes.

I dig Wanderlust.  I'd implore anyone familiar with the two to imagine the same Around the Sun songs done with Jacknife Lee's production style on Collapse Into Now.  We would have been having a different conversation.

Hope the avatar doesn't tip it off, but I'm in for the duration, here.  But I can't help feeling as though had this piece been published prior to 9/21/11, we'd be reading the same tired arguments below about how much they've sucked since (your favorite album here).  As per usual with rock and roll, death was the best

Yes, the article was very clear about that.

If this is out, the My Girl trilogy could certainly use a conclusion.

You got to give people more credit.  It's not like there wasn't crappy pop in 1955 that didn't stand the test of time, and it's not like there aren't good singers now who will as well.  Most importantly, it's not like future generations aren't as good at knowing the difference.

I thought that was part of his ongoing Jacob-from-Lost persona.

I think the Mills' interviews said it best:  something to the effect that this was the compilation for the kid who hears Losing My Religion at the mall and wants to know more.  It's not for those of us who would get into the argument about which version of 'Leave' is the better one.  I can respect that.

Not gonna try to convince you otherwise.  But don't start with this one.

It does play better if you play them simultaneously, and say what you will about the endless dissection of their discography since Sept., their videography is pretty formidable.  Still… not the way to go out.  Although, worth remembering as the critical class falls all over their 'last single' or whatever, it's

I think you've nailed it, and I was waiting for someone to bring it up.  It is much simpler:  there are a hundred third films out there that don't measure up, but don't bring down the franchise.   The acting and dialogue in the third are so cringeworthy at points that it sucks the mystique out of the storyline  (I'd

Last year it was coined? Is the term MPDG trying to hide her age?

Good God, I'd just spent the morning discussing with a friend about how aging Stipe and aging Billy Joel were starting to converge.  How the hell do you think I feel?

On the plus side, Lame Ass Security, Inc of Missouri is hiring again.

That girl.  Refuses to bend, refuses to crawl.

I think it was made easier on the apes when they apparently moved the bridge within 20 feet of the Cable Car line.

We're not going to talk about Deep Cover? Bummer.

Is this the right place to point out my kinda surprise that record company lawyers do their expensive research on wikipedia?

Agree whole heartedly on all the Reveal love. I'm wondering what albums have improved with age like that one has.

You're an idiot, babe.
Yes, yes, yes… Chinese controversy, we hate Maureen Dowd, and what not. No one else is a little thrown by Dylan's use of 'gazillion,' here?
