Ben Affleck's character was written all wrong. You can't portray everyone else he's affiliated with/in business with as scummy and then write the main character as a mixed up saint with no shades of grey. Completely ruined the movie for me. You never buy his character.

You make a lot of good points. In his defense, he's all of sixteen years old and with the verdict being fresh on his mind, probably wasn't thinking tactfully. Granted, I don't remember exactly(they probably didn't specify) how long after the verdict, that he gave the interview.
