Hey Noel, are either you or Nathan seeing V/H/S? I read a rave the other day, interested in your take.

One movie i'm interested is John Dies at the End. The trailer gives me a Stuart Gordon vibe.

Well they aren't exactly acting like adults in this situation so i'd take umbrage with calling No Age, adult music.

We are at a crossroads as i'd consider the acting on Rome to be far superior to that on Game of Thrones.

If I could pick a fight here for a minute

There are similarities but the gap in quality is huge.

sacred cows and all that

1) The Wire
2.) Deadwood
3) Carnivale
4) Rome
5) The Sopranos

THIS

I thought the first season was kind of by the numbers police procedural and was hoping it had improved with a move to TNT. Maybe this show isn't for me.

So weird, I was thinking about this at work the other day. The movie holds up great except for the mcflys getting money and becoming yuppies.

Australian movies have been pretty good lately, at least the ones that have made it stateside(Animal Kingdom)

30 Rock for me, I am the AV Club 1%

Disagree. I re watched the first four seasons and was impressed with how well it held up. I'd argue the entire cast was great(Yes, even Frankie Munoz). Another observation upon re watching is how "cable" it felt. It seemed to have more in common with the tone of It's Always Sunny than any current network comedy.

ahem, The Weekenders.

His first appearance on CBB with Ken Marino and Paul Rudd is hilarious.

Love visiting Gainesville for The Fest, also stoked for new HWM.

I think i'll be at the multiplex more in 2012 than i've been in the last few years. In addition to the movies mentioned on the list, also in 2012: The Wettest County in the World, Prometheus, Cogan's Trade, Haywire, Gravity, Looper, Argo, Seven Psychopaths, Stoker, The Place beyond the Pines, etc.

I'd throw in Firewall and Iceberg. Even Sepinwall bugs me now.

Hey Scott, do you know what happened to the archive? I just went to check it today and it seems to have disappeared.
