How about Norwegian Dad!, the American Dad! of Norway?
How about Norwegian Dad!, the American Dad! of Norway?
Is there any? I mean, I guess that Steve Brule show is still nominally on, but am I forgetting something?
The only currently airing show about ship wars is "Black Sails" — and you saw how well THAT went. (Well, actually you probably didn't.)
Can't confirm this, but I heard (from someone involved with the show in question) that one of the shows moving from ADHD to prime time hasn't premiered yet.
Nog? I'm not a Deep Space 9 fan myself, but an outright ban seems harsh.
"Breaking Good." Obviously.
You mean "Brad City," that Internet series about a town where all the men are named Brad? Never heard of this "Broad City" before.
I like Whitney Cummings okay. I'm not a fan of her comedy at all (a matter of genre. perhaps), but I've met her several times, done shows with her. I think she means well. I don't think anyone's ever made that claim about Michael Patrick King.
Lead singer? This was a band that, at various times, also featured a Turner Prize-winning artist, two successful television producers, and the Commissioning Editor for Philosophy at Oxford University Press.
So this is not an… anthology of interest?
I can see that. "Seeing somebody fail to keep that façade up" is what I like about, for example, Orange Juice. Or the Pastels. Or… huh, guess that was really a thing in Scotland back then.
Yeah — it is a little surprising that Talulah Gosh became Heavenly. I mean, I love both of them, but a lot of things changed… to me, early Heavenly is about trying to find dignity in the standard subjects of pop music (love, heartache, etc. etc.) Like a self-aware "we're going to sing about these things because pop…
You see, to me they have a lot more going on (lyrically, etc.) than any of those bands you mentioned. (With the possible exception of Belle and Sebastian. I have to be in a very specific mood for the Softies… and there's something curdled about the Vaselines that I just can't get into.) A surprisingly unromantic…
They're my favorite band.
Heavenly had three male members — lead guitarist Peter Momtchiloff and bassist Rob Pursey. Until the second album, Amelia Fletcher was actually the only woman in the group. Lush's bassist was also a man.
Chloe from "Don't Trust the B—— in Apartment 23"? I'm pretty sure I couldn't keep up with her, though.
How did it take this long?
You realize you're likely to have to extricate a very drunk man who has burned his clothes from a stranger's house?
I read Mr. Programme's post as referring to the time period in which a work was set, yes. Probably underestimated his ability to recognize the difference. I guess we're all in agreement, then. Oh well!
I think there was some talk about it for the first five episodes or so. Since then… eh.
