Marquee Moon is a strong one. So is London Calling, but I feel like I can't say London Calling, because I've long had a theory that "Complete Control"/"White Man in Hammersmith Palais"/"White Riot" is the best three-song stretch on any album. (This latter might not hold up to scrutiny.)

My first instinct was to say Elvis Costello, but weirdly, I found that none of them were strong 1 and 2. ("Trust", oddly enough, is a strong-ish contender with "Clubland" and "Lover's Walk".)

Well, except that Dan Harmon doesn't sound distractingly like Dr. Zoidberg.

Season 2 was underrated.

TV is way more hassle. It's in a room I have no reason to go to, connecting it to the Internet is a hassle, the remote control is a hassle compared to my mouse, connecting headphones is a hassle. The only reason I'd ever watch TV on TV is if I was watching with multiple people.

Crackle has been moribund for YEARS, though. It's a relic of the era when people thought three-minute Internet videos were going to be a thing. I doubt anyone's really working on that or expecting anything from it.

Yeah — I'm not saying I didn't like pre-Larry David Seinfeld either, mind you. (Though I am saying I've never liked Curb Your Enthusiasm, which may have colored my stated preference somewhat?)

Huh. I thought you spelled Quommunity with a Qu. I may have to give you another chance.

It's a B. It's a G D B.

Might I point out here that, for the most part, I preferred post-Larry David Seinfeld to pre-Larry David Seinfeld? I feel like if I'm going to make any other critical comments about anything else, I have to put that out there first.

Hands off! He's mine!

Noooooooo! I'll watch your show, I promise!

Personally, as someone who can't watch most shows at their exact time, I buy the FX series I do watch (at the moment, Archer and Sunny) on iTunes. And even if a small percentage of people do that, it's going to make the network more money than streaming.

The ratings got a little stringy there near the end, but that was more a function of it being May. (And the thing where they aired the last three on the same night.)

What about the horrible Seasons 1 and 2 of Ren and Stimpy? Whose fault were those?

Football is the one sport where the cult of personality really does extend to coaches to a ridiculous degree, though. If you say that drawing up playbooks is the job of a football coach, well, it's the job of the coordinators more than them. And once they've drawn up those playbooks, they don't do much at all in-game.

"Geography of Global Conflict" was episode 2, not episode 3.

But some of that isn't "based on what the new showrunner is interested in" — it's based on the direction that makes sense for the show.

I saw Weiner and his family at a Decemberists concert a couple years ago. His son (not Glen, the other one) dresses like a Charles Dickens character or something. Weird.

I know that. I was in the episode (different subplot), and I know what role it plays in the episode.
