Uh, if you buy DVDs smart then you can get a lot of them extremely cheap.  Amazon has periodic sales of HBO shows.  Movies and other TV shows are also periodically on sale and you can often get them dirt cheap.  Way cheaper than streaming prices. You can also find them cheaper on ebay new or even used.  You can get

It would still have some complaints but since the 90s was dominated by shows like this it would get the pass more often.  Seinfeld after all had story arcs in a couple seasons and they even recall previous episodes when the timing is right.

What's sad is award shows will still nominate Modern Family and Glee because they've never heard of anything else.

AVClub post the article about the Producers Guild TV nominees.  People will be pissed about the Drama nominees.  Dexter was nominated.  Mad Men was nominated which didn't even air last year haha.  Breaking Bad wasn't nominated again.

Different strokes for different folks, if you prefer 2d games to 3d you'll always prefer the 2d RPGs to 3d era ones.  I think I prefer the 2d era because SNES was the peak of 2d gaming.  There was also just a ton of great RPGs in a few years span.  Chrono Trigger, Final Fantast 2 and 3, Secret of Mana, Super Mario

No mention of Breaking Bad, possibly airing its final season this year?  Shame on you AVClub

So The Simpsons Season 4 is finally going to start in 8 weeks?  It is almost a big joke that they are taking such a long break after Season 3.  When does AVClub plan to finish the first 8 amazing seasons of the Simpsons? In 5 years? There should be no break taking with The Simpsons if you plan to have it finished in

If it gets more than 3 seasons someone should be killed at HBO when Hell on Wheels survives longer than Deadwood

I told AVClub to have included AMC on the worst TV of 2011 minus Breaking Bad.  Besides Breaking Bad everything on that channel has been a big mess.

Heres my analysis based off expectations for future seasons for the top 4 drama shows. Breaking Bad should be right where it is, no where to end but on top. It's going to be almost impossible for Homeland to get any better. The writers literally thew almost everything at us in those 12 episodes. Explored a lot of

Odd Entourage didn't make the cut or a mention.  I guess no one cares about that show here, however I know plenty of people that like it.

Well they aired back to back on Sunday nights.  Especially on a cable channel it's unheard of to have arguably the worst TV show of the year to air along side one of the best TV shows of the year.  Dexter's stink probably crossed into a bit of Homeland while viewers were watching both.

Really sucks VanDerWerff did 2 or 3 episodes per review to review the series.  The Sopranos which he is reviewing on the other hand since season 3 has had 1 episode per review.  Although in his defense of Deadwood, the reviews are often quite long.  I'd say that ultimately my favorite character on the show might be

Dexter probably should have made the top 10 list.  If you stick it at the end and just say it might have been the worst season to air on television this year.  It kind of discredits your list then.  Also funny that Dexter one of the worst seasons would air with Homeland one of the best of the year.

Interesting that you've never heard of the term showrunner.  You must be new to discussing TV shows and or never really cared about how they were made or what leads to their quality.  Obviously there are the famous showrunners of the last couple decades.  David Chase of The Soparnos.  David Milch of Deadwood and now

I TOLD YOU VANDERWERFF last night in your review.  You said how the show would almost become predictable now. Also Dexter kind of plays out like an anthology series already anyways. Practically each season is similar with very slight changes.

I'm pure sure VanDerWeff is underestimating what will be in the 2nd season.  I highly doubt it will be what we expect to continue.  They might just dump all the characters and go to a completely different story.  Maybe a spin off with the same characters, but a different tone?  I think if it continues the story it had

I do wonder if the ballots weren't done so early in December how that would impact certain shows that aired after they were turned in.  The Sons of Anarchy finale aired after the ballots were turned in, might not have made the cut then.  Boardwalk Empire probably would have moved up a few spots given its 1 2 punch of

I love how American Horror Story was mentioned in several lists.  Seems like quite a few people have warmed up to its oddness.  It definitely isn't the best by a longshot but it sure as heck is entertaining.

One of my favorite scenes is when Johnny trips and falls head first right into the snow
