In the year of renewal for almost every low-rated show, the CW cancels stuff? I feel like I'm being Punk'd.

I haven't even watched this week's episode yet, which I'm really excited for. I honestly didn't have much trouble following the realities, but I can see how that can be a problem sometimes. And generally as a Thursday Night drama on NBC, I guess it was doomed from the start. Really too bad, though.
I knew it would happen, but it still stings that Awake is gone. Was really getting into it recently. :(
Everything I've wanted renewed so far has made it. Now to cross fingers for Awake, although I'd be SHOCKED if it was renewed. Sadly.
Very happy for Parks & Rec, but now I'm pissed Community didn't get 22 episodes.
This may almost ruin Suburgatory for me now. Thanks.
Tina could sell anything.
I'm fine with basic plot points being similar as long as the tone is different, so I agree that this episode is still great even with familiarity to another show. There are bound to be similar plots nowadays, with so much TV already out there. It's more about using that plot in a way that relates specifically to your…
Well, Gene was Juarez.
In the books, I agree. I thought Tom Bombadil was pretty interesting as well. But I agree with Peter Jackson in not putting him in the movies. In the book, you know you're gonna be reading for more than one evening, and having Bombadil in there does help keep the reading from becoming a slog. In a movie that already…
Season 1 is better than the second half of season six. I can't even judge season seven yet because of how much I hated season six after the musical episode.
"is a phone call only Robert Rodriguez gets away with…", maybe.
Except it's not awful.
I would say you can probably jump in, with this episode even, no problem. Then if you like it, go back through older episodes for character development and more fun. The first six episodes are not-great at best, but it's smooth sailing after that.
Cougar Town and 30 Rock are nothing alike.
Watch it. Should be fine jumping in.
For TV drama, you're right, House was on the higher end. But it's been much, MUCH less than it could have been for the last 4 years or so, at least. Fringe is clearly better than House at this point, and if you compare it to comedy, it's worse-written than the majority of the field at this point. Community, Parks &…

I know. Still right though!
I love P&R and think it's one of the best shows on TV. That said, Onanymous is completely right about Community.
