Agreed. If it's too long, scroll down to the bullet points.
Every time I hear something about Bobcat Goldthwait
I'm surprised he's still alive.
from what I've read in wikipedia and the HBO docu-drama mentioned above, he didn't end it. It was her suffering that inspired him to start his euthansia service.
It doesn't get any moe accurate than that. I was playing MW every day for about 9 months. I kept putting up with it getting more and more annoying becuase… well, becuase… I was leveling up? is that a reason? one day I had a moment of clarity and just stopped. I'm still in a clan though, so I keep getting emails…
I really, really hope they don't go there. during the co-manager arc it really looked like they would. that joke was good when they brough it out here and there (the ending to "Survivorman, for example), but I don't see how they can sustain it in the long-term.
apologies if this double posts, as I thought I posted it earlier but it's not showing up now.
I was on my high school's speech team at the time ID4 came out, and took a good deal of shit from my freinds when I claimed that President' Pulmans's speech is not, in fact, a very good speech at all. I tried to explain that a speech in real life has to say something, be about more than 4-5 soundbites strung together……
You can tell if it's an liberal wet dream vs a conservative wet dream by the issues at hand. Gun Control = liberal and war/terrorist attack = Conservative. in either case the issue is shamelessly used to paint the opposite party as either a bunch of gun totin' rednecks or yellow bellied pacifists.
One wonders how much of their page view tally comes from the comments vs. the articles themselves….
This was the episode that made me a life-long Simpson's fan
- something about the electro shock scene just grabbed my 9-yr old attention. I starts out mildly enough, but about 4 shocks in they give up any pretense they might have had that there's any fairness to the shocks. Even Maggie is randomly pounding on the…
Richelieu - I'm just happy there was only one typo in the whole thing! I actually tool the time to compose it in word to use the spell check and then paste into IE (I've got a crappy browser at work)
Thanksfor tlinks Ghaleon - those backgrounds in the first link are gorgeous. It makes me want to watch Pinnochio all over again.
Dorn's performance of the "What a terrible way to die" is just about perfect. And it's ironic becuse it really was a terrible way to die, but that's not the point Worf's making.
I couldn't resist and clicked - that's not the one I was thinking of. somewhere there's a ginormous diagram (something like 2k x 3k pixels) that visually represents all the Terminator timelines up through the Sara Connor Chronicles. there might be a link in the comments from Zack's coverage of SCC, I'll try digging it…
Oh, no. I can't look at that again. The last time my head turned to mush for a day and a half.
We can argue about how to interpret the endings all day long, but the ending from T2 suggests that they can actually prevent judgement day (even though Arnie tries to explain to them that they can't). Every time someone goes back in time, they're creaing a new timeline. So for the characters who are in that particular…
your schtick would be a lame knock-off of cookie monster - if not for the cave-AVC painting. Nice touch!
It was a very fitting end to the movie, there was good action, the themes of the movie were tied together (Kirk's monologue to the Klingon chancellor was a little on the nose but not too eggregious), and then the crew literally rode off into the sunset. As a kid at the height of my trekkiness, I can vouch for the fact…
Ghaleon - I'm in 100% agreement re the animation in Pinnochio. as a father of two young children, I've been unwillingly exposed to / tormented with pretty much the whole canon of american animation in the last few years, and I've come to have a deep, deep appreciation for the old-school disney animation. The transfers…
