Supposedly there is a Pixies album finished. They had someone else record Kim's parts as scratch tracks and she later overdubbed on it from London. It was described to me as "solid, not an embarrassment" by someone who heard it.
Audiophiles: The Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab reissue of Sea Change sounds very, very good.
The review repeatedly faults Ozzy for the lyrics – it should be noted that Geezer Butler wrote many of them.
Maybe because the vocals of Lose Yourself To Dance sound like a Kool Keith falsetto without the funny lyrics. This can't be unheard, so… sorry about that.
Poor advice. Like everything, there are exceptions, but pawn shops are generally horrible places to buy a guitar - ridiculous prices, poor service, shady business practices, etc. If you're short on cash, there are a million barely-used Fender Squier Strats on craigslist for $50-$100 being sold by people who wanted to…
Just look at his face!

I also saw a show on that spring '98 Catholics tour (Hungry Charlie's in Syracuse, NY) and we got a Wave…, but I don't think a Holiday Song. Still have my Catholics T-shirt from that show. Your right about the lack of banter, he must've said two words to the crowd the whole night, which brings me to a few weeks ago:…
You should find a way to go to Solid Sound. I've been to all of them and will be there again this year. It's a really small-scale (in a good way), mellow festival experience. Short lines, reasonable prices, good food and beer, etc.
Lucky.
Weeeeeeiiird… I also saw it in a theater filled with 1/2 elderly people - could it have been the same one? New York state?
There was also The Hogyssey, their third album. Diminishing returns for even this Spacehog fan. This song is the highlight:
It would probably cost $45. The new one is $80 for a 3LP set. Eighty fucking dollars.
