Oh yeah, they've totally jumped the shark in the best way. Out of all the dance competition movies they're really quite self aware that it's a ridiculous genre, so they keep on getting more and more over the top.

The Seminoles are a good example of them not being racist as they have an agreement and close ties with the tribe.
Redtails and Pigskins have been the consistent leaders for what people want to change them to. I'm a bit more in favor of Redtails myself, though.
