It got eclipsed by him staying, thank goodness, but did anyone else get cut straight through the heart when Jimmuy said "At least this happened now, not ten years from now?"

Right. And early on, they had to make sure we understood why they were "the worst."
All of the above. Well, except for Hampden Sydney. That one seems like it'd be more like how Longwood sounds.
Richmond area. Always thought of it as a nice little state school where girls would go to become teachers. LOL
From VA too and never once made the connection either. Now I'll never be able to unthink it. I'm in awe, really.
I had to pause that opening photo scene a couple of times just to make sure I was paying enough attention. As soon as I was in it I knew I was watching what I would end up finding to be one of the top scenes of the 2015 television year. I am sure I will re-watch more than once. Just brilliant and immediately made…
That is a really interesting observation. Very curious, indeed.
Nope. You're not the only one at all. And if you can get through the 812 (and growing!) comments, there are a couple of places where we've discussed it. Fantastic scene that really demonstrates this show doing one of the things it does best.
You know what? I now think it's even more nuanced than what I saw as the original nuance. They are both miles apart AND together. Hence being in the same screen AND the split screen. And YES, this sort of planning, construction and the sheer talent of every single person in the cast in its execution is the reason…
I don't know if she'll kill him or not. I can't decide on that. But she's definitely going to get him killed, one way or another. She's already trashed his whole life and all of his plans and dreams.
I loved that scene too. I didn't get quite the same thing from the split screens, though. I thought by splitting it, even though they were right there in the car together, was showing that there's really miles and miles between their mental states. She's all, "Thank God we got out of that trap of a life!" and he's…
They don't seem to be able to arrest any of them for anything. Apparently we just have to wait for them to all kill each other. (I'm ok with that.) But they did go to the motel and get Simone out, last week.
I got the season pass too. I love watching without commercials but the quality of the show is no longer worth the cost.
Well, you have to admit, with the traffic that goes in and out of that place, she needs one.
This episode was such a mess in so many ways. But Eli was ON. Every one of those intense confrontations was pure …. dare I say it? … gold! I gave it a B+ despite all the flaws, because it is still fun. Nora snarling, "You're a monster!" made the whole thing worthwhile.
I know, and then it would be called "ALL" … how great would that be as an acronym?
To make up for his loss and the loss of Kalinda too. Trying to take care of both things with one character. He works just fine for me (unless the whole "he has a file on you" turns out to be something really stupid or gets dropped completely, which would make me a little crazy given how many dropped plotlines and…
That character was created so well that, even though I know better, in my mind I think of him and say, "He must be busy taking care of his kids" to explain his absence … rather than the much more realistic idea that the actor is working on other things.
Yes. It was all very contrived and inconsistent to characters' past behavior.
I'm sure this has been said before, but I really do think that the seven-year-plan did not include Josh Charles leaving before the seven years were up. Maybe Alicia and Will were going to be end game? Or her arc in deciding to truly stick with Peter was going to round things out? Either way, I wish they had dealt…
