Some sort of "start off in the Prime universe, weird gods thing happen, boom it's the Jar Jar universe"? To be honest, I'm not sure if that's necessary (it certainly wasn't for that Trek thing). This is a reboot, not a continuation, right? Rebooting with an older Xena would work, but not with an older Gabrielle. This is not about how fuckable the actresses are,* but about the characters.

Lawless might be acceptable: she's aged well, and she often appeared too young in the original to do all the things she did in those flashbacks. But not O'Conner: Gabrielle was the young innocent child, and being played by a forty-something just would not work.
