I disagree. That was a great contrast to SPOILER Silvio getting shot to death. As a viewer, you care that Sil dies, but then someone completely innocent gets killed because of it. And that's much more tragic. Sil had it coming; the cyclist did nothing. It immediately takes you out of undeserved sympathy for Sil.

Thanks for sharing, but I feel that switch would have been too obvious. The Meadow-Tracee comparison is strong in "University." The other replacements in the dinner scene in "The Test Dream" are just weird: Vin Makazian as Finn's father and Annette Bening as his mother are not symbolic. And I don't think Tony compares

Didn't see Ernie Hudson as "Ernie Hudson" in HIMYM, but I can't imagine it's as memorable as Ernie Hudson as "Ernie Hudson" on the Super Mario Brothers Super Show:

I'd never heard of it before, but I care now. I will check this out.

I avoid trailers and I was still disappointed by spoilers for the Avengers. Before they showed the movie, they had an advertisement for Lego Avengers or something, and the advertisement spoiled the movie by showing a showdown against Loki in the streets of New York. I knew little about the movie; I thought they were

Hm. I think if the author wants to apologize for taking liberties with his history, he should put it in a foreword or something, not in the actual novel. Or in footnotes or endnotes, maybe. This way sounds tedious.

I don't see this as about trying to "understand the world" as much as trying to understand your relationship with your family, or how to sympathize with other people's relationships with their families. Reminds me of this article: http://www.yorkshirepost.co…

I've confirmed that it also does that with IE, without admitting that I'm using IE.
