"Artsy graphic novel biography of a mathematician or scientist" has become a subgenre: Logicomix, Radioactive, and now Feynman. If Feynman's as good as the first two, I'm not going to complain.

Thanks for sharing, AV Club. They are indeed great live, and fun and approachable.

I hit "like" on your post when I meant to reply.

This is false: "Mathematically speaking, the best song ever written was almost certainly written before the invention of sheet music, and as such is lost forever."

Shouldn't Beavis and Butt-Head be commenting on YouTube videos and such? I picture the slacker of today as someone who spends too much time on internet memes, not on television.

That's fair; I should have said "WWII" instead of Holocaust. There seems to be a WWII nominee every year: Inglourious Basterds and The King's Speech most recently.

Well deserved, maybe my favorite album of the year.

Is that what's going on? I thought he was trying to cover his ears from some loud noise that was coming from just to the left side of the screen.

Man Man

Wood
Late to the party on comments, but I finally got around to seeing this. I liked it more than anything else I've seen from Malick.

(It makes sense in context.)
Ok, I'll be the jerk. I saw the A-, read the review, and thought, "There is no way I am going to watch this."

Nice firsty, Keith
I thought I had gone straight from the review to the comments when I saw the review end with: "It is the first film, however, in which he costars with a sass-talking crow voiced by Jim Breuer."

I believe the word you're looking for is "pederasty."

Convincing review
Good review, although I had to read it twice to figure out what was going on with the dual use of the word "explicit" (Which character is in control? Not explicit. Characters' actions? Shockingly explicit). Tobias seems to get all the slow-building films with ambiguous meanings.

Pretty much the only good gimmick.

Go to Sanitarium
Leave GO.
Just leave GO alone.
Do not collect $200.

That is an excellent choice.

Put her in another green dress
Anna Karenina was awesome before it was an Oprah book, so it's okay to like it. I expect it won't be as flashy as Atonement?

"Persona non grata"
You've never lived until you're PNGed somewhere. The U.S. State Department calls it "pinged." It means you're pushing the line, but too awesome to get arrested.
