Just a heads up to you people singing farmer in the dell. It's actually, "a hunting we will go", with the same melody, which makes a lot more sense in context.

Thanks Sg. That might do it.

Thanks guys. I may try to give it a watch at some point, but it sounds like it's not moving to the top of the queue.

(Oh, and to give a picture of the kind of show I *can* watch, the Wire is the exact opposite, where even the absolute, most evil characters still had redeeming qualities that got me hooked.)

As this is the breaking bad thread, can I ask you all a question?

I'm not allowed to play this game.
I know I'm the type of person that would turn it on to try it out, and come up for air eight days later when I realized i was starving to death. The fact that there's no "end" to get to makes it especially problematic. So I can just never get started. Which is sad, because this

So, umm, I don't love it or anything
but I kinda like McCartney's "Wonderful Christmas Time". It's super cheesy, and it may just be because my love for the Beatles has pavlovian-conditioned me to feel happy when I hear McCartney's voice, but among the christmas songs we get every year, it's one of the ones I don't

Thanks Incitatus. Reading it, it sounds like question parsing is way harder than I would've thought. I still don't understand why, but given that they describe a full room full of servers required to run the machine, I'll take their word for it.

I don't know Tuxedo. It seems like whatever they do, it won't be fair. Your solution just requires some basic voice recognition and OCR software that can be bought off the shelf.

C.C. Baxter: He made the internet rounds a while back for some of his prank art (or whatever the actual name is). In particular, the one thing I really remember is that he went into a museum and hung up his own works of art when no one was looking, and tried to see how long they'd stay up. Most of them were pretty

Tminusfun: Fair enough. I agree with most of your points, just not your conclusion. It does come across as student work. I just think it's good student work and you think it's bad. I agree that two of the endings are very weak and undermine the main message of the game (the one with the green friend is

Well, look. I intended the hyperbole to come across as hyperbole, nothing more. I was not actually angry, and didn't think anyone would read it that way (hence short, completely out-of-proportion statement followed by reasonable discussion). If it came across as actually agressive or out-of-line, I apologize. Tone

Sorry, if it wasn't clear, my wish of death was over-the-top rhetoric to match what I considered over-the-top hatred for the game itself.

Dude. Die in a fire. I agree that the actual "game" components of the game were very weak. But as art it's absolutely fantastic, and it's one of the very few games I've played where the gameplay is integral to the art aspects. (I. e., it could not convey its message as effectively if it were a series of cut

B Town, that sounds right. I never saw the Shining (I know, I know, its on my list), and this commercial was mostly blah to me.

I understand where you're coming from, but no. I've been really bummed about this all day, and haven't been able to really read through the rest of the site today like I would ordinarily. Leonard was a good writer and he gave lots of good content, and he will be missed.

I agree. Everything they attempted to do sounds completely awesome to me, and I'd love to watch. Their failure to execute any of those things is terribly sad.

I'm with Kickpuncher on this. Hammer, I know I'm in the minority, but I feel exactly the opposite about the two games. Super Mario was first, yes, but it felt like an experiment in 3d game design that hadn't figured out what it wanted to do or how it should play yet. Interesting in concept, but no fun to play.

I always thought it was an evil spirit, nothing ambiguous about it. Several reasons:

Dogfish Head 90 minute. Such a good beer, with serious depth of flavor and perfectly balanced. Functioning Alcoholic, I cannot understand how you find it undrinkable.
