…Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland really bring in the Happy Endings crowd that much, eh?

Lame. Maybe it's just me but I'd think it's funny if it turns out Haley/Alex really were from a different family (and for the record, that also applies to Brick Heck).
Zazlow, frankly, sounds like someone determined to take back feminism as many steps as she possibly can and more shallow than most men in the most shallow sitcoms. There's no way in hell I'd want to undertake a dating service from her, especially with the apparently disastrous results it gives.
What? No Ninja Warrior?
Eric Stonestreet promised me a Modern Family/American Horror Story crossover.
This was the first episode I really liked - it was legitimately charming and sentimental without going into saccharine territory (and I'm just a sucker for love stories). Why can't the rest of the show be like this?
Prediction: cancelled after next week.
Brandon, you're the resident Suburgatory reviewer (as you mentioned), can't you say that that show is exactly what this show wants to be, just without the (I think unnecessary) Southern twist?
"A show like Pawn Stars succeeds because those guys feel like
interesting characters and the world they inhabit feels like just enough
of a departure from our own world that it’s fun to visit." So, you're admitting you don't actually watch Pawn Stars?
But according to the very vehement people reasonably discussing that show those Emmys are undeserved!
…seriously, I think we've named every comedy ABC has running right now.
Most of it is outrage over this show getting more rewards than Community.
…Man Up? Work It!? I think we covered all the ABC offerings out there available.
Airplane, the TV series. Except it's about fake psychics.
Exactly.
…can we just agree that this show is far better than the ABC comedies, whatever sexy over-the-hill/underaged broads they have over at ABC be damned?
…I just noticed that the two episodes (this and The Middle) even have the same title.
I know it'll be so buried as to be pointless but enjoyed your review, Noel. Glad you like this show so much.
I think they're slowly de-Flanderizing Sue, which is odd because almost all of the characters on this show were invented to be Flanderized from the outset. You know, kinda like the opposite of what's happening on Modern Family. Or House for that matter.
So tonight we've got an ABC Wednesday night comedy stalwart with a young girl named Haley who makes googly-eyes at boys and vice-versa, a young, surprisingly intelligent boy who's stuck in a sticky situation and a prominent character who's birthday is on Leap Day.
I think tonight's Modern Family was great if only…
Oh, and Phil, I'd like to know your take on last week's episode "Virgin Territory." As I've said elsewhere, Modern Family (and the rest of ABC's comedies) likes to play it safe - so I find it hard to believe people take it as a social force just because it happens to have two homosexual characters. Last week's episode…
