When those shows air the site becomes The Onion's Breaking Bad/Community Club so yeah, it's a tad bit of an unfair comparison.

Geez 184 Reasonable Discussions already and the episode just finished airing in some markets.
It started out as an A…and ended, yup, as a B+. My problems are different and a bit more nit-picky, such as Neil's and Pete's insistence on Keller keeping focus as nearly every other line of dialogue. And some of the tension of the first 10 minutes (or less) got quickly deflated, but that's just the nature of the show.
That's true, and I forgot Margo Martindale in the post-season two Justified curse of being stuck on a sucky show. At least it looks like Kaitlin Deyver will still be on a show past this season.
Jorge Garcia's character is…bizarre, conceptually, but Garcia himself pulls it off to a degree that using the word "effortlessly" would be to short-change him. And that's the best I can say about a double-episode premiere that was otherwise dull, but fortunately Garcia's in it a lot, so it's not as bad as it sounds.…
So are you really giving up this one like you did Last Man Standing? Because unlike that other show PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP TORTURING YOURSELF.
I spent the rest of the weekend trying to think of another clever reference to Into the Woods but instead the only thing I can think of is how incredibly dull this episode was, even by this show's standards. I've seen (local high school productions of) ItW twice and a friend of mine gave me the soundtrack as a…
I honestly don't get the Tebow hate. Yes he's overhyped but the level of anti-hype is so great I'm wondering if Bill O'Reilly might actually be right in that most people hate Christians/worship Satan.
There is room for a silly show, but as I explained in the comments from Todd's review of Work It!, it simply fails to be an entertaining silly show. Hell, I think that was even the point of Todd's review.
so I see this review for The Fades in Other Shows and now I see The Nerdist: The Fades in Other Shows.
Hooray! Now all I need for my next Work It! Cancellation Watch update is just two simple words: IT'S CANCELED! And then I can concentrate on reviewing Last Man Standing in Modern Family's comments section.
Killing off Opus was an act of mercy. Bringing him back in the first place was the sociopathic act.
Wasn't aware the creator of Bloom County was a sociopath.
Todd, this is the most hilarious review I've ever read on AV Club. Let the hate flow through and you can be the next Red Letter Media.
wait, so you said in your Rob review that we can talk about other things in here? Can we talk about anticipated winter fashions for the Mayan Apocalypse?
heh, thanks!
"So far as I know, Sofia Vergara has never played a role that was very different from her own persona, so I can understand people not wanting to compare her to some of her more chameleon-like co-stars."
Point 1: I like Sarah Hyland. I'm hesitant to admit it thought because, well…as I pointed out last week, her fanbase is fucking creepy (not as creepy as her TV sister's at least). And things like the foot fetish thing make me wonder if they're pandering to that. But yes, she's surprisingly a very capable actress…
I know, but I felt that the other comedies last night were also poor though I've since re-evaluated Middle (haven't changed my mind on the others).
Never said I was. I enjoy a lot of campier if not outright crappier shows - much crappier than Modern Family will ever be even if they tried - because I usually find a few elements or even just one that I think makes it worth watching. LMS is a pretty good example, one that I think I've made pretty clear now. It's…
