Oh I also remember going to see Courage Under Fire with my girlfriend. I remember two things: the movie was terrible, and I developed a crushing migraine that had me vomiting in the parking lot and then curled up, delirious, in the backseat of the car while she drove me back to her place.
Twister was on cable this afternoon (because of course it was) and I thought "who directed this movie"? Turns out it was Jan de Bont, who has directed a grand total of five movies ever. Twister was his second; Speed was his first. Wow. He's a DP by trade and shot Die Hard.
It's a young 'un! Get 'em!
First reaction: "Oh Christ, here comes another navel-gazing nostalgia festival from everyone. What a colossal bore this is going to be. I'm gonna read all the comments, though…..:"

Upped for "unreasonably gorgeous".
I like a bunch of his films but I know what you mean. It's almost hard to believe he made it. It's so quiet and restrained given his tendency towards the insane.

Saw it last night, really liked it. My sister called it a "dark Wes Anderson" movie, which I agree with.
Oh man to see Lost again for the first time. Enjoy. I would avoid too much Internet talk about it and just dig in.
Green Room is one of the best movies in recent years.
They say that if your Predator erection lasts more than three years, you should see a doctor.
Horns is really good, and I can't quite figure why it's not better known. Really fun movie.
That sounds custom-made for me. Thx for the tip!
It depends on the wind. If the memories are aroma-based and you live in a border state, things could get tricky.
Never been to Jersey, but I'm going to imagine that the episode of It's Always Sunny where they are turned loose on the Jersey Shore gives us an idea of what it's like.
"Peg" is a dope song. Whole album is dope.
