Well I won't deny that the First Doctor is more conniving than he's given credit for, but the Trojan Horse bit in "The Myth Makers" is done out of desperation. He rejects the idea of the Horse as nonsense Homer came up with in episode two, before his ideas of manned flight end up being undoable and he has no other

Ah, one of my favorite Hartnell stories, and a great review. Though I'm still not convinced the Doctor was intent on starting the Great Fire, as I saw it he was burning the map to distract Nero so he and Vicki could make their escape. The Doctor probably did know the date they had visited but assumed Nero already had

I think this is actually a come down from last week, though why I feel it's so much of one is hard to explain. I like Simon's plot though his dad is being played too much as an OTT yuppie. The Will's mom sort of calls him unattractive is missing something, it just seems weak compared to the original, but it's still

Hmm, the most, well not original, but the least "rip-off"y episode gets the lowest grade, interesting. I disagree on a few points with this review:
Mr. Cooper (beyond his stuffed fox) is useless, he's not a villain, he's just someone who hates his job and students so he has small childish out bursts. It's telling that

Three? I only remember two (Underwater Menace & Time Monster), what was the other?

Another good episode and nice review as always. But just one thing:
Albert…was a dragon.

True but their dialogue goes great with 6's personality. Which personally I don't mind as much as a lot people seem to.

"no Dalek appearance in the classic era of Doctor Who does a
better job of showcasing that at the true core of a Dalek there is a
twisted little horror piloting it, the tentacled and implacably violent
heart of the Doctor’s greatest enemies."

Welcome aboard! Don't worry about what conventional wisdom says too much, I think a lot of times things get repeated and over emphasized so they should be taken with a grain of salt. Really the only thing is to not completely give up on a serial after a single viewing or at the very least not after a single episode.

Again with Troughton the only complete serials are "The Krotons" and "The Dominators" so really unless we get reviews of some recons (of any kind) I'd be fine laying of the Troughton for a while. That being said if "The Dominators" does get dropped I'd rather it be replaced with a Hartnell story.

Wait if I'm over there how can I be here? Maybe I'M cracked in the head.
