The idea that Moriarty could set up a situation to intentionally induce a hallucination in Holmes is ridiculous. It goes back to my question, is Moriarty an evil genius or an all knowing deity. And now thinking about it that way, I really, really hope Irene is actually there.

I'm confused. So are we happy or mad that Gregson reacted in a very believable manner to a female Watson and that a very bad ass female Watson responded in a very believable way?

I like the idea of Joan learning to use a gun and get a carry permit to move her character more towards cannon but I'm afraid it will induce Charlie's Angels flashbacks. On the other hand, could be used to make some great commercials to bring in the unwashed masses.

@avclub-ce7da3812ed2a993e2194cd75e94b18b:disqus I like your theory that Irene was a hallucination but I think the biggest problem is that up till now Sherlock has "known" she was dead and now even if she wasn't there this time it removes the suspense and surprise for when ever he actually does find her.

Oh look, this isn't an argument.  It's just contradiction.

I think the ending works, but I always wished for something more spectacular.

this is a super easy question to answer, it's Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I love it maybe more now than when it came out.

Hard to pick but I think my favorite might be Paradigms of Human Memory the one with all the flash backs to stuff we didn't see. Which is strangely the exact opposite of this episode.

I think it's hard to argue that the Leonard/Penny relationship isn't the weakest one on the all the couples.

Well if @avclub-924386c0f19fd05b90b53a5d4c2e65c5:disqus isn't going to watch it TBBT I won't either. I wait, yes I will.

I really enjoyed reading Zodiac but I have to admit I was really disappointed with the ending.

I must be an asshole because Ender's Game is one of my favorite books from my youth and I will see the movie. But I agree with Kevin that it is very unlikely to contain any of the politics or moral dilemma material of the book. But maybe the movie will get more people to read the book. I wonder if the people in this

but I’m also failry certain that no one refers to him by his real first name during this episode

my pick for the best among live-action network comedies—the only real competition being Bob’s Burgers)

Well I didn't expect Jess' dad to show up. Kind of a cop out really if you ask me. But still lots and lots of the funny.

AHHH! I am tired of waiting for the next episode of New Girl to see everyones reactions. Here are my predictions:

I found an easy solution for that. Only catch about 1 episode every 3 months and Seth is pretty entertaining.

@avclub-7aee1b75b527e215f31e20a5c4e7a768:disqus thank you sir. That was so much fun to read. Filled a little bit of the hole left by the passing of the great Roger Ebert. I used to love when he hated something.

CBS will struggle to land acting nominations outside of The Good Wife

If Moriarty wanted to kill Holmes he would be dead already.
