I keep meaning to read American Gods but am reluctant. I enjoyed Good Omens enough but didn't love it the way most seem to and I was disappointed with Neverwhere. I guess I should get around to it. Maybe this summer.

A really nice combo of history and fiction set in the 30 years war is the 1632 series by Eric Flint. It's just an alternate history story where a small town in West Virginia is transplanted to 1632 Germany. If you are into alternate history fiction at all I highly recommend it. Well, the first two books anyway.

Somehow I never noticed that there was a Books tab up there. I know I'm getting old but I didn't think my mind was that far gone. Anyway, I am currently reading Caligula & Nero: Rome's Worst Emperors which I just got off of the Amazon free Kindle ebooks list.

My biggest problem is they spend $100 million or more making a movie and it's like no one ever read the script. Prometheus is just the latest easy example. I mean what the hell? How does crap like that even happen?

Good point. And plays in nice with Nick's dad telling him he thinks to much about everything.

Only if I have permission.

Nick’s dad returns—from beyond the grave!—for a really nice little scene with his son that I wish I’d written down, so I could tell you exactly what he said. Alas.

Yes he did. I couldn't tell if seeing Titanic on distracted or motivated him. Winston still has no game. Shoot, he has no ticket to even get in the game. He thinks he has a ticket, but it's just a counterfeit he got from a scalper.

Was anyone else disturbed by the idea of using the same ummm, marital aid with multiple partners? I guess I am more of a gentleman than I ever gave myself credit for.

When Schmidt fell off the bed and his arm was covered in lube up to his shoulder I seriously cringed and thought, "oh god, no."

I had no idea assaultive was a word.

I feel like I shouldn't have found it as funny as I did but Nick and Schmidt rolling around on the ground covered in lube made me laugh more and more the longer it went on.

You're forgetting that Amy's previous boyfriend was Armand the miniature horse breeder. The pretend boyfriend she made up to get her family off her back. Granted that thanks to Penny she isn't nearly the same person and could probably land a guy now but it's easy to imagine that she wouldn't realize that.

Lots of things I want aren't going to happen and I have the restraining orders to prove it.

What a great idea for an ending, having Penny cast in a Summer Glau type role.

He should sue.
