Well I'm perfectly aware Aiden will be back with Josh and Sally at the latest by episode one of series 3 but I was still sucked in by that moment and it made me realise despite all this shows shortcomings I actually do give a shit about the 3 main characters, and also a little bit Nora.

If there was any justice Regina King would get an Emmy nomination and that'd be enough to keep Southland alive. The Emmys are never going to recognise Southland for anything though, even with Lucy Liu in the cast.

I really didn't know what Ben was going to, or for that matter what I wanted him to do. Now that I know I kind of wish he hadn't shot him.

I thought Tang was going to get shot in that carwash. Everything before it, all the last day stuff felt like they were about to kill her off.

They teach Golden Age slang in college now? Dammit I've wasted my life.

So you think Plimpton would rather her character said "yeah go get jiggy, don't worry if you get knocked up you can just get an abortion"?

more meta with "we don't care", "it was never about you anyway".

Its broad and unfunny and the characters are all horrible except Jess.

Sounds like he might have written this episode.

He wants his daughter out of art class because he's an asshole.

When he said he was 42 I laughed. He looks ancient.

That was the worst part of the worst bit of the worst episode of TV I've watched all month.

The NME love to try and create scenes so they praise every album coming out of whatevers hot in Camden that month regardless of quality.

They did do the "My favourite music year" thing which is similar enough.

Actually I watched No Country recently and had similar feelings. Its a good film but I think with the backdrop of all the hype its a little disappointing.

Moss to Elliott is a massive upgrade. Good job Fred.

Cos they hate the blind.

Seems to be to be a bit of a problem I've noticed with quite a few shows lately. I think they should work harder to get reviewers who are at least somewhat into the shows they review.

I thought it was a fairly standard episode but by the end I was thinking "I wouldn't mind another hour of that" which is a good sign. I still enjoy this show most weeks, the leads all entertain me and Nora's not too shabby either.

Yep, and it takes away the impact of when he does turn. How often do the wolves turn on Vamp Diaries, 2 or 3 times a season maybe?
