I swear that I've seen Claudia Black claim that the snot kiss was payback for Ben Browder licking her as Harvey back in DMD.

I think I actually cry more each time I watch these.
I'm hugely jealous of anyone who watched this show during the original airing. But at the same time super relieved that I didn't have to. The scheduling would have driven me nuts.
I totally get the Chricton/D'Argo thing in this episode. When the bar girls ask them if they're a couple Anthony Simcoe does a great sort of halfhearted denial on D'Argo's part.
pretty much yup all around

I've seen a fair number of random Buffy episodes here and there mostly during its first run. I definitely need to do a full series viewing soon.
Those are good points. I agree that Farscape generally does much better by its female characters than a lot of genre shows. And a lot of the sexist things from this episode that Wintermute called out would bother me a lot less not by being absent but merely by being balanced better between the boys and girls. I think…
Nicely said. I really need to watch Buffy at some point.
Along the lines of what you said, I love how Meltdown seems to depict J/A getting it on from both John's and Aeryn's points of view.
Totally agree. I'd love to think that the whole thing is a conscious attempt by the show to depict the rather ugly inner workings of the mind of Moya John since we are watching everything through his retelling. But it's just as easy to conclude that it's the show itself that should be criticized.

I have the energy!
She's also married to some kind of world champion unicyclist. LOT of talent in that family.
I like it too. I do find the whole Seirjna/Mu-Quillous subplot a little tiresome but overall it's a great episode. For one thing how can anyone argue with sexy John and Aeryn? Or with crazy Stark?
Got it. Maybe because she's not really that helpful?
I know what you're saying. It's hard to disagree with any of it. And I know that it doesn't excuse any of these criticisms but one could look at all of them as an indictment of the mind of Moya Crichton rather than the show itself. Because it's very possible that everything we've seen in this episode comes directly…
Damn smokey. You can't argue with a woman!
1) Didn't they also go on leave because Pilot and Moya were sick of them?
On my first watch I just couldn't get into the Moya episodes. I always wanted to get back to Talyn and what was going on there. Moya was such a huge bummer in comparison.
