"It's a generalization." It sure is. One AlienJesus keeps re-asserting. He/she keeps presenting his/her slightly disappointed opinion as the majority.

Lol!

"The law says there has to be a hurricane."

"ENLIGHTENED may not have spoken to many and where most found it at best a utterly sincere if not all together ambitious attempt to bring to television."

"The great theme of 2014 television is the absence of Pierce…"

Thank you!

30 Rock was excluded from our list discussion because it only aired four episodes or something this year. But The Middle is also great.

Blimpies!

Flurm.

Eeeeeeennnnnnhhhhhhhh…

The Thick of It is one of my favorites but it ended last year.

Ah, thanks. I was wondering where it was too for a moment.

Only the top three are in order, but the one you missed is the foreign imports: Black Mirror/Borgen/The Fall/Moone Boy/Please Like Me.

It wasn't my decision not to include a transcript, but I suspect it has to do with the fact that, again, the whole point of this is to show what these shows look and move like. If you want a plain text endorsement, we also have reviews of many (all?) of them.

Same here. That's the one I haven't seen, so Sonia directed me to that specific scene and the show was a lot livelier than I was expecting.

Part of the idea was to show people what these shows are like. The video-free version: We like Black Mirror, Borgen, The Fall, Moone Boy, and Please Like Me.

All the female copywriters AND Roger's ungrateful (to him) daughter. Hmm…
