I really liked Sirens. I think mostly because I found the policewoman best friend attractive and the jokes funny.
The final episode was kind of a downer. But it worked.

Am I one of the few people that liked Best Friends Forever?
I thought it was a cute show and I liked how they wrote it the actresses would act out the scene at home with a very basic outline, then record and transcribe what they said and then edited out all the fluff, it meant that the people in the show tended to talk…
There was a side story in the Batman story arc No Mans Land about Lex Luthor(using Bane as his agent) destroyed a ton of property records so he could basically steal the city from the owners when the disaster was over.
9/11 had a ton of documents and records destroyed as well.
Simon Helberg's character in Studio 60 was famous for his Nicholas Cage impersonation.
They occasionally had side characters mention how much they loved his recurring character.
That is how you do science!
I remember reading somewhere that the logo of the network or the show is different in this one than it was in the later episode in this format. This one showed a greater universe or scope and the later one was more focused on Earth alone. It was some decision to show, subtly, some of the ways which Earth and the human…
Imagine if you somehow didn't see Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon or Hannibal(the movie) and suddenly realised that the good Doctor Lecter was actually a serial killer this week. Consider that he's been a bit creepy and in episode one he made that phone call to the killer to warn him but no directly seen kills so far.
…
I'm still waiting for a BeWitched/Mad Men crossover. Until they do that I don't care about NASA in the 60s.
It is hard to associate the loveable character he played on SeaChange, Diver Dan, with Al.
They both had the same casual laid back attitude but Al had just that slight air of menace that made this series so good.
Well done to the people in NZ for their work on this one.
Thanks. Now I'm going to have to alt-text check every single picture on this site from now on.
I really liked this show, the season was overall pretty good. I'm Australian myself so some of the points mentioned about America and Americans were really funny.
Having never watched any of his stand-up until last week pretty much every joke was fresh, I feel slightly sorry for people who have seen his stand-up and…
Let us credit feminism with this.
I prefer to think that each generation of Clara adds to what she knows and gives her skills and desires that are passed on.
Gen 1 knows how to tend bar, look after children and fake accents and wants to travel with the Doctor. She's limited by her lower class origins and tries to rise up.
Gen 2(assuming no other Claras…
With America more or less giving up on Sci-Fi that doesn't involve teenage girls I'm happy that Canada and the UK are taking up the Slack.
I wish my beloved Australia could step up as well, but alas we're rubbish and only make TV shows about extended families getting along with each other.
All three Oswins have a history of looking after children.
Clara 1 was a governess.
Clara 2 babysat those kids.
Clara 3 was the Junior Entertainment officer on the starship Alaska, I initially thought it meant she was a junior officer, but I'm thinking now that it meant she was in charge of entertaining the junior…
You mean Anne Perkins! is your favourite? Anee Perkins! is a lovely snow angel we all hope will never melt away.
I just looked up Paralysed Stripper on YouTube. Holy crap that was hilarious.
Looking forward to another year of Happy Endings!
"We just need six seasons I mean Six years."
And a movie perhaps?
I really liked this episode. It had some nice twists in the story.
And the nuclear option joke was pretty funny as well.
Bay might be misremembering. Taking credit for it without realising its misplaced. I don't have Episode 1 on me right now to check out either. But it could be that.
