It's actually less to do with America and more to do with overseas markets (esp. Europe). I remember Drew McWeeny saying something like this about Doald Glover/Spiderman controversy.

I get that. I just wanted to avoid saying that the TCA thing was actually blessing in disguise for TVDW. It gave him the perfect chance to jump off the bandwagon instead of having to hang on in hopes until two seasons had gone by and everything was more or less the same. Or worse, you know, like Glee (even I thought…
I think of all the stuff King said, one point that is legitimate is that getting rid of the diner for the cupcake shop would pretty much remove the broke part of 2BG. But of course that'd mean deepening the diner characters to most people except he thinks they're great as is.
Actually the purpose of that was to tell the audience that the political chauffeur character is a naive charlatan (the OWS people) and that we should leave serious issues to the adults (preferably the upstairs folks). Pretty sure that's what Julian Fellowes is going for.
To be fair it looks like this role will be a nice pay day for the next five years so I'm sure the actors are grateful to be part of the success.
Fienberg's name will live on as the answer to the ytrivia question: "Who was the first person to introduce the concept of facials to Kat Dennings?"

Best episode:One with Aimee Mann
Assessment on much ballyhooed potential of this show: Big Bang Theory with slightly worse joke construction and better chemistry between the leads (perhaps). Oh, and it'll deal with the serious issues like race and poverty: it's Roots, 2BG, then The Wire then that Flight of the Conchords song.
Mass Effect 3 over Bioshock Any Amount up to Infinite
Although it's probably not the case, I'm choosing to believe that I'm liking Coldplay these days simply to spite the writers of this show. Every rape joke is crowd-pleaser.
Was the comment worth outing yourself as a Canadian Football League fan?
Evra should suck it up - like how he performs for his national team.
I'm less worried about the random outlier lists (like Zulkey) because that's clearly just people who don't spend all their time watching tv. So top 15 is like 15 out of 20 and probably they didn't even watch all the episodes on their lists. Then there are lists where it is clear the voter watches most of the critical…
