Ten years and still no one's gonna top that.
Ten years and still no one's gonna top that.
I am scared of "Girls" comments sections but I just felt like saying that Adam Driver is so good in these two episodes. Which are also really good - I laughed a lot over that hour. *escapes "Sandra Bullock in 'Gravity'" space capsule and swims to the surface* *exhales deeply*
I actually kind of liked the stuff with Sheldon and Penny this week (Sheldon is best used when baffled by the world around him rather than as a trampling bully), but any small amount of good will there was drowned in the usual awfulness of Leonard and the writers insisting yet again I laugh at the idea of someone…
Since this always becomes a thing in these comments, let me just say thank you for your patience.
Warren is becoming the live action Gene Belcher so gradually I'm hardly even noticing.
RIP, Sonia's "Hostages" reviews.
Good riddance, "Hostages".
Hi David. You told me to watch all 100 episodes of The Good Wife so I did, and now I'm back. Good show. Okay see you Sunday byeeeeeeeeee.
I know it's perfect the way it is, but it still wrecks me that we won't be getting more of this beautiful show. Rest in peace, "Enlightened". And rest in peace, turtles.
The B's stand for BYOBB!
Did they really? Who did they think wanted to see that?
"I'm just surprised we have apples."
THE SOUL TRAIN AWARDS WERE TONIGHT!
If these reviews weren't so good/funny, I would be wondering why TV Club ever had regular coverage of this show.
"I will be holding up this flag for your reference!"
That he does. It was the laugh and manic glee he took in said slut-shaming that felt different. Even beyond the way that Sheldon has gone from "he doesn't know any better" to "being an asshole and stomping over everyone."
And considering the episode was less than 19 minutes long without the opening titles, they seemed desperate.
It's totally fine to point it out, I know people are skeptical of that sort of thing. It just really doesn't have anything to do with the point Oliver was trying to make. If he had said "oh my god, the laugh track on this show, so loud and grating, turn it down producers" then I get it. But he was just using "laugh…
Sheldon doing the Mrs. Krabappel laugh and saying there was no way Penny didn't consummate the marriage is one of the meanest, most hateful, and wildly out of character things I've ever seen on this show.
The thing I don't understand is why that was what you took away from the comment in the review. All he said was he wanted to see that scene without audience response because the humour was dark and uncomfortable, but apparently we can never use the term "laugh track" for the sake of convenience because the show uses…
