There's that moment going through the mines in Kentucky Route Zero when the lamps go off and you see shadowy figures following you. That genuinely unnerved me.

Seriously, I loved all the quests in this game but did we really need to speak to all, what was it, 10 girls that he'd been fucking?

I've never seen this part in the game but that sounds legitimately intense!

The only one I can remember right now is the first encounter with the Man-Bat in Batman Arkham Knight, I was not prepared at all for that piece of shit jump-scare.

I'm sure it will, but this is still a stupid trend which is setting them back a long way.

In the future, once Hollywood has mined every possible opportunity to remake typically male-led blockbuster franchises into female-led blockbuster franchises, the outlook is looking grim for new properties. The female-driven superhero movies have reached their nadir, audiences are growing restless and the search for

The worst part is, you can't even complain about it because people will just cry "MISOGYNISTS!" or "SO IT'S GOING TO SUCK JUST BECAUSE IT STARS WOMEN??" Even though having these types of films start to become a trend is going to hurt feminism in films a lot more than help it.

Ocean's Eleven…Vaginas.
Nailed it.

I just remembered the first time I watched Independence Day I had my first experience where I just had to say 'nope' and leave the room. I had a bit of a phobia of aliens (I mentioned my hatred of ET in a previous article this week) when I was younger and this one had the most creepy looking and just downright evil

I get that, and honestly I'd say I stopped Alien Isolation around the mid-point more because I'd gotten all I could from it (gameplay wise) as much as I was too scared to play it anymore. Definitely worth checking out though.

I tried to get into KH Chain of Memories in the 1.5 remix, but I just couldn't, the game play mechanics never clicked with me. So I've moved onto the 2.5 remix.

I can handle the worst horror movies fine, it's horror gaming that seems to get to me.

I tried to watch it and turned it off after about 20 minutes. I enjoy horror movies and am not squeamish when it comes to gore, but something about this movie just made me feel sick. It wasnt scary, just went too far trying to be shocking.

Semi-related: My favourite behind the scenes tidbit that shows how well they cast the main trio, was in Prisoner of Azkaban. The director apparently got them all to write an essay about their characters so that he could see how well they knew them. Emma Watson wrote a 19 or so page essay, Daniel Radcliffe wrote one

Honestly Scream is a closer comparison to this movie than Scary Movie. Scream was already pretty close to a horror-comedy, complete with meta jokes about the genre.

I loved it the first time I saw it, but it's had diminishing returns every rewatch.

Fucks sake, you people are still hating her? She's probably the best developed character on the show and has been a genuinely great, badass character since somewhere in the midpoint of S2.

Great, I'm now the type of commenter Ive always hated

Hearing how everyone cried at the end of Toy Story 3 made me think all the toys were going to die. This made the furnace scene really intense to watch, even though I was pretty sure this would be way too much even for Pixar, its a testament to the scene that I believed it was even a slight possibility.

I thought The Shining was fairly overrated when I first watched it a few years ago. It tops seemingly every Best Horror Movies list, yet I didn't find it at all scary.
