I agree. That score sounds like a fruit machine trying to get your attention from the back corner of a pub. And believe it or not, Knopfler kind of did the same thing to the gang bang sequence in Last Exit to Brooklyn. The only time he really knocked it out of the park score-wise was Local Hero.
