Oh man.  I remember going into the first season's finale full of hope that, despite the fact that the last several episodes had been mediocre at best, they were going to pull it all together in a way that made the whole season a worthwhile experience.  God what a soul crushing experience that was.

This is pretty consistent with what he told folks at a book signing I attended.  He also clearly pointed the finger at Mirkin for holding up the release.  He didn't really say why, but implied that Mirkin was trying to stop the release because he was embarrassed by the show.

Yes, great catch.  I'm surprised I didn't pick up on it myself since the
colors on this show generally jump out to me.  Haven't listened to the
podcast yet, but I'm guessing they talk about the fact that yellow and
green are the colors Jessie & Walt wore in the pilot.  Do they mention the lack of blue?
