I meant more in the metaphorical sense than literally, but if you want to get all technical about it, fine, you're right. But there's definitely a father-son vibe to their relationship in my opinion. A big chunk of Art's job is trying to wrangle Raylan's impulses, keep him on the right track, call him on his bullshit

Right. Plus they agreed way too quickly. Almost as if they were going to suggest it themselves if Raylan hadn't brought it up. In fact, they may have. I'll have to rematch. I remember Raylan said something about giving up his room over the bar but I'm not sure who raised the topic in the first place.

He'd definitely have enough space there to get his cult up and running.

And then there's Art, the father Raylan should have had. For all the agony that was Arlo, it always hurts me more when Art is angry with, or even worse disappointed in, Raylan.

I've got this sinking feeling that Art and Vasquez giving Raylan the keys to the big fancy house is some kind of setup. It seemed pretty clear to me that Raylan was the topic of their interrupted conversation, especially in light of Art's phone call later in the episode. I really, really hope I'm wrong. Art/Raylan

I didn't think that she was going to leave with Derek but it kind of felt like a gut punch when she dropped all the pretense and admitted to using Raylan's instincts against him for her own benefit. And I can't really explain why I feel that way. Loretta's always been pretty open with him about who she is and she's

Mine too. I could see Mara (that's her name, right?) giving it a shot, especially if she feels like that's the way to get Boyd's protection, but I just don't see Boyd taking the bait.

I think Wade was suggesting keeping her off the "showroom floor" of the bar and keeping her in the trailer for special requests only.

I think Boyd thinks that Duffy ripped him off. But I agree with whoever speculated upthread that Johnny is probably behind it. Duffy is a survivor and I just don't see how crossing Boyd would be a smart move for him at this point.

"Do I pay you to tell me shit I already know?"

I think Derek being not smart is most of the reason she hooked up with him in the first place. Clearly he was not going to be the brains of that particular operation. Given the time she spent with Mags, Loretta probably learned a thing or two about how to make the dummies dance.

I really hope you're right. Right after we saw Tim & Rachel I began wondering about Johnny. No sight/mention of him was starting to feel conspicuous.

The fact that Drew Thompson seems to be the best sheriff Harlan County has had in god knows how long pretty much says it all.

It's worth trying. I'm not a cider fan at all, and I like it quite a bit.

Maybe it came that way like one of those personalized keychains. It's a common name.

No one even called that baby by name, (unless I missed it). That felt significant.

Get a bucket or something!

If anything, I'm surprised Sammy kept hold of things as long as he did (which seems to be maybe six months tops.)

Me too. I had just gotten past the Disher of it all when he got stabbed. Bummer.

I know what you mean, but I wonder if that's because everybody is listening so intently to see if his own accent bled through. I know I was really scrutinizing his accent because I associate him so strongly with New York. I know Damon Herriman is Australian but since Justified was the first place I'd come across him,
