I'd give him about two seconds. I can barely keep my shit together for two minutes and I'm no Hannibal.

I'm not really a foodie, but I'd definitely know the difference between pork and veal just by the taste, and probably the texture too depending upon how it was prepared.
If I'm remembering right, after Jack came to see her the first time, she told Hannibal about it, saying something to the effect that she left out details in her conversation with Jack about her patient swallowing his tongue and how he swallowed his tongue. That bit about how really stuck out to me at the time, because…
That's what I'm hoping too. I honestly have no idea how Will's going to get out of this predicament, which is really exciting. I can't wait for season two.
That moment caught my eye too, but not nearly as much as the one that immediately preceded it, when he took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a second or two before walking down the hall to Will's cell. It was really odd and almost conspicuous. It reminded me of walking into my parents' house on Thanksgiving and…
As was, "You can't stop, drop, shut 'em down and open up shop all by yourself."
Right, I get that. What I was wondering is if that hairstyle is so important to the character, why isn't it that way all the time? I've noticed it come and go, but if Jonesey is right, and the Hannibal hair is exclusive to when he's seeing patients, then that's a deliberate choice. That choice is what I'm curious…
That was my first thought too, until I realized how dark it was outside the window. Even in winter, it's definitely daytime by 8 in the morning on the East Coast. Then I thought what @avclub-56dfc41867dc4d05e285222c24c4e7c2:disqus said about Will going to bed really early. But given that Will seems to barely get…
Cake or death? (Resistance is futile!)
Yep. The bottle was clearly visible on the table next to Chilton, or at least the pump part was.
My thoughts exactly. I've thought for weeks that Jack has really strong suspicions about just how far gone Will is and is making a deliberate effort not to deal with it. That "If we have a problem you have to tell me… Do we have a problem" scene a couple of weeks ago immediately comes to mind as an example.
I noticed the change in his hair too, but hadn't connected to the therapy sessions exclusively. Wonder what that's about?
Exactly. And if Will didn't or couldn't pull off killing Gideon, Hannibal would have done it himself. No way Gideon lives through this hour.
Outdoor Christmas Organments.
Agreed, but I'd argue that knowing what's on the menu and how it got there is a huge piece of understanding him. And without a whole lot more psychic driving, Will's unlikely to clear that hurdle. Judging by what we saw in this episode, I think Freddie's initial reaction to learning that particular bit of news could…
For the sake of their baby, I really hope they can both punch out at the end of the day and leave the crazy at work.
Full disclosure: I love Eddie Izzard, so I'm more than a little biased on this, but I think his first performance rates higher after this episode. I agree he wasn't exactly oozing menace from behind the plexiglass walls of his cell, but given Chilton's admission this week that makes sense to me. He was being…
Pendulum is a much better word for that than what I was calling it (yellow Xerox machine bar thingie in case you were wondering). Didn't catch the dissolving part, I'll have to rematch, but I did notice that the direction it's swiping across the screen has changed from a straight left-to-right-and-back pass to…
I agree that Hannibal manipulated the pieces of this puzzle so Will would take care of his Gideon problem, but I think this whole situation also shows just how many moves ahead he's thinking. Hannibal's inside Will's head enough to be confident that he has the proper psychological motivation to act as Hannibal wants…
I'm going with sociopath. Did you notice the way she was watching Gideon remove the organs? The look on her face wasn't disgust, it was curiosity - not to mention super creepy. If Hannibal is truly looking for a friend with similar interests, she'd be a much better choice than Will.
