I've jumped off the Winona bandwagon too, for the same reason. But I hate, hate, hate the idea of Raylan and Carol. Winona may be stupid and manipulative, but Carol, so far at least, doesn't have any redeeming qualities unless you count the boobs. I don't.

Wow! Now I kinda wish I'd listened to Mrs. Givens.

Daddy issues
are a big theme on this show and after last night, I think we can add Carol to the list. She said her dad was a miner and after he died she changed majors and went to work for the coal company. Really? Who does that? She never said how her father died, so I guess he could have been hit by a bus, but if

That's what I meant Charley, and that's what pissed me off so much about the whole thing. I understand Raylan sitting back to see what happens. There's not really much else he can do at this point, other than go to Art and confess, which would be the bigger risk, career-wise. Art knows Raylan well enough to believe

I thought Raylan was just trying to move the fight away from her so she wouldn't get swept up in the middle of it. They nearly knocked her down when they crashed into the door she was about to walk into and he knew Loretta getting in the way wouldn't stop Coover for a second.

I definitely think there's more to the story than moonshine and a wallop with a baseball bat. I think Mags' penchant for cruelty is pretty much common knowledge that no one talks about in public, and I believe Helen was sincere when she told Raylan how much she loves him. Helen and Mags look to be around the same age,

Aside from not trusting, agreeing with or even particularly liking her, I think Art played a big part in Raylan turning down Carol. (Yes I realize the first three wouldn't matter to a lot of guys). Raylan knows Art could end his career if he chose to so the ice is already pretty thin there. And he didn't exactly win

Loretta looked really uncomfortable about it. When I first saw her in the crowd I thought what the hell was a kid doing there. But once Mags started talking it became clear fast that Loretta was a prop. Coover might be the only one who didn't realize that.

I loved that the paramedics
Were completely unfazed by Arlo's caterwauling. So if Raylan gets his ass kicked once a season does Arlo get shot in the leg once a seaon too? Works for me. Raylan asking for paramedics like it was an afterthought was pretty funny too.

@tearinitup, I'm pretty sure it was Audrey's.

Seeing 'preacher Boyd' return was one of the highlights of this episode for me. Monotone Boyd is fine — sometimes even more effective than when he's fired up — but there's nothing better than when Boyd goes off on a tear. He and Mags have the silver tongue in common and seeing them both in action under the same roof

I think so too. I also thought it was telling that it took Boyd all of about two minutes to figure out that Raylan's thinking of leaving Kentucky, but when Raylan told Winona that Art knows what they did, her reaction was to ask him what they were going to do about it and immediately roll over as if she were going

Coover' shit list
Is growing by leaps and bounds and I'm afraid Loretta is in big trouble here. The look Coover shot her when Mags kept petting her head during the town hall meeting speech was beyond menacing. Loretta sat right next to Mags while Coover literally had to take a back seat. Add that to his growing rage

Hangover-rough works for me just fine.

My nitpick with this one has to do with security cameras. There's one at the marshal's entrance but none in the elevator?

@Betty - Thank you for bringing up the valley girl thing, that really stuck out to me too and I meant to mention it earlier. The longer that explanation went on, the more she came off as a teenager trying to talk her way out of a grounding, complete with 'likes.' I believed what she was saying, but the way she said it

Whoops! But since that's basically what Art told him to do, I think it works!

If he's not there yet I think he's well on his way. Winona has shown him time and again that she wants him - and what straight woman wouldn't? Damn! But she wants to 'fix' him first. There are only so many differences you can ignore before it becomes clear a relationship just isn't gonna work. Pushing Raylan to find a

The Secret Service guys made me laugh because they were the latest in a line of employees of other federal agencies who walked into Art's office and were just total douchebags the entire time they were there. The ATF guy was suck a dick last week that he actually convinced Art to take Boyd's side.

That smile left me with a lot of questions. While I'm sure Winona would love it if Raylan decided he'd rather sell insurance, I'm not sure that was motive for taking the money in the first place. I bought her explanation about taking it because it was there and figuring out the why later. Raylan was right when he said
