No, Three's Company!

Perfect end to the week. Perfect way to solidify Peridactyl as my new favorite. I was grinning from ear to ear the entire episode.

I think for our sanity's sake we should just try not to think too hard about Garnet's future vision and it's implication to the story in general.

Maybe, but I'm thinking Peridot is too young/inexperienced with the Pink Diamond days. And Lapis has really not had time to sit down with Steven and be like "Woah, your gem… I think you might be Pink Diamond kid", all of her screen time is mid-crisis so far. And as for Jasper I'm wondering if Rose's betrayal was so

I think Steven not asking/thinking about it is also forgivable in a tv writing sort of way. Characters in a story don't usually see plot twists coming like us trope-experienced real people do.
But good point about the use of the word rebellion and not civil war. Hrrrmmm.

Omg. I've been bracing myself for obvious betrayal all week (like many of you, I'm sure) but I forgot that the Crewinerse is amazing at flipping expectations and not dawdling on character arcs. My jaw literally dropped when Peri started sticking up for Earth, particularly an Earth with life still on it. Then I full

I burst out laughing at that line. It was so well done.

Agreed, great episode. I don't know why but after that pre-Molotov cocktail monologue the whole episode reminded me of one of those short stories you read in middle/high school Literature classes, where a character's tragic flaw dooms them in an ironic way.

Where's your main doubts coming from? The size of Yellow Diamond/Blue Diamond? I really don't think that Rose not being a literal giant is a solid point against the RQPD train at all. But I'd be willing to hear other thoughts, because I've also been riding that train for a while now and if I'm wrong I'd like to

I know right? Based on the episode titles, descriptions, etc, I had this week entirely planned out in my head. Obvious betrayal was obvious. Hopefully she'd regret it and come back later. Tomorrow's episode was clearly going to be Steven sadly listening to her audio diary in the wake of whatever happened today.
Clear

I actually liked Mayor Dewey a little in "Political Power". He actually cares about his town a little. So I wouldn't mind that. It'd be really funny at least.

Yeah, but we've seen how much the Gems like to tell him about secretive stuff directly relating to the rebellion. Not very much.

Agreed. I've heard that whole "Rose isn't big enough to be a Diamond" argument before and I think it's pretty weak. Garnet didn't look big enough to be a fusion, until she was. It's a cartoon, size is variable. They made her pretty freakin' big in the first place, if they made her a literal giant it would've given

Naw. Hot springs episodes usually happen MUCH earlier than this.

Thank you for going exactly where I was thinking with the Venture Bros. reference.
And yeah, that song would be PERFECT for Peridot right now. Also, I've just been listening to Kansas for the last hour now, which was a good decision.

I dunno…. "Sometimes, you even sound like her… Do you remember this place? Do you have any of her memories?" I think it is out of loyalty to Rose.

Oh god now I WILL TOO

Oh man, that walk up the stairs with the White Diamond mural dead center, but not actually acknowledging/talking about White Diamond. She is totaaalllly gonna be the final boss.

Once the singing started I was like "Oh HELL NO. You're already going to break my heart tomorrow, and you go and make it harder my getting Peridot to sing?!!!! YOU'RE TEARING ME APART CREWINERSE!!!"

Oh thank FUCKING GOD. I'm normally not a man who likes spoilers. In fact what with new Star Wars being in our Zeitgeist again, I've had the "The first viewing experience is precious and only happens once why would anyone want to ruin that" conversation with people who love spoilers many many times in the last few
