If only Nickelodeon took this advice.

I have to admit that I still want to take my Pillow Pet/Alter Ego Felip A. Monke to see this.

I don't take kindly to people who reference works other than Avatar in the Avatar review Commentorium.

I have to rebuttal with my own feeling about what Firebending is.
I always picture Firebending as manipulating the chemical bonds of molecules in the air to combust them and create flame. Is it not conceivable that those chemical reactions being catalyzed by the Bender's chi are indeed exploding and createing force?

@The_Tuna:disqus I would finance it out of pocket and put Sozin's Comet in Theatres if I could.

-"That's a Great Idea Sokka, let the Blind Girl pilot the giant airship."
-"Zuko's right, we have gotten kind of lazy."
-Appa taking out the whole Gaang in one lick
-Momo joining Aang after the battle is a releiving scene
-That shot of Zuko standing by Azula's Blue Fire Wall is one of the most powerful in the series. I

I do agree with what you wanted, as Aang is my favorite character. And it starts to feel like, on re-watches, that they sent him into the Avatar State purely for the spectacle, instead of, say, showing him arguing with his past lives or monologueing about his dilemna while stuck in the Avatar State.

@avclub-7cbaf9384cf3835106bf2f444c0bcf65:disqus At least point me to an official source that isn't a wiki, unless it's cited.

Over on Toonzone, the creators stated that each season will more or less be its own self contained arc, with the personal arcs of the characters carrying over.
"Unlike the original series which had a three season arc, we designed "Korra" so that each season had it's own villain and clear resolution, so they are more

Your comment actually makes it sound like he accomplished anything other than getting Ozai on the run. The real tension, if your not too distracted by the spectacle, is whether he regains control of himself or if he kills Ozai whilst not in control of himself.
Everything Everyone else said in defense falls pretty spot

That implies Lost was "Venerable", not Aggravating.

Crescent Island is at the tip of the Fire Nation Archipelago, they said as much in the Art Book. And when did they go to the Eastern Temple to the North Pole?

@avclub-e14267dedd4e1d0cc0093bc13643fd59:disqus I think it's already been established the Avatar Earth is smaller than real life, but the map that's always shown isn't in the correct ratio for it to be taken as fact. Though, East from Ba Sing Se does look quicker.
Actually, the creators have acknowledged the flaws in

You might have to explain this concept for me to feel your pain.

As much as I know I don't need vindication in my love for the show, the encouragement I recieve by reading all these great analysises from people who are so educated and literate feels like a blessing.

I may be late to the party, but I have to make a toast to the Production Crew, JM Animation, DR Movie, Moi Animation, Hayden, and Readers like you that have sustained the A.V. Club Classics review of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
And because nobody was chanting it, a Speech (it helps if you picture a rose tinted montage

@avclub-7cbaf9384cf3835106bf2f444c0bcf65:disqus  Have you catually seen the Holy document?

@avclub-32b63dd70d870580128d83e930199e1c:disqus  Not old enough to know but, how does "Show, don't tell" equal bad parenting?
Edit: you meant Ozai didn't you?

I was part of the "Target Audience" when this show was on the air, and I have to say looking back through all these years that I pulled more from this show than I ever expect to pull from another show again. Part of that is that I've gotten a lot more cynical about the Modern American Landscape, the other is TV

Do you have to obsess over the Shipping aspect to be considered Creepy and Maladjusted?
