Thank you, Joshua, for a balanced and articulate review.

Joel's character is SO going to die, brutally and dramatically.

Actually, that was pretty cool looking, although 1) I'd be hard pressed to confirm that Beth did the stunt.
Can't really see her face during the descent, so it's a mystery.  In the alternative, 2) there's a quick cut after she comes out of the air shaft, after which, it could be that it was all done with her back

Sounds like business as usual for Leverage.

Funny thing is, on his way out of Patty's office, Judd Hirsch's character said the only way to get the daughter to testify would be if Jenna Elfman's character offed herself.  Wonder if that's the tip, he set it up, Uncle Pete style.

Mike, Walter, Jesse on the same team.  One of the best shows ever is going to get better.

Saul and Mike go on the lam and move to New York to disappear.  Mike goes out on a date with Nancy Botwin and they end up trying to kill each other.  Saul takes on Patty Hewes, she tries to have him killed, but he squirrels away with tens of millions of dollars and he and mike go to Canada and live in a small town

It also seems to underscore the gap between that which is truly artistic and what happens when it is placed before a banal popular culture, like the "Summarize Proust" competition that they'd do later.

Part A. I love Damages.  No matter how thin the story or anything else about it, at the end of an episode I always feel like I've been  entertained by people who, for good or for ill, know what they want to do and execute it.  Either you're with them or you change the channel.

Thanks, 1derer.
