To be fair, there have been many people who are friends of his and work with him that have said that people would be surprised by how conservative he is. I'm not saying that the causation that he was a Sunday school teacher is correct, but it seems like he is more conservative than the comedy he creates.

Or simply doing the things he said he'd do instead of continuing this country's allegiance to wall street and silicon valley would have been a nice start.

I'm not too sure. He willingly sacrificed his ideals by indebting himself to forces he didn't entirely understand. He sacrificed a major power imbalance by catering to interests that ran opposite to the one's that got him into power. You can say all President's have to play this game, but I think he will be remembered

That's why government regulation has it's benefits.

Democrats do this too, constantly. It's not just a problem endemic of republican voters, but of the electorate as a whole.

To be fair, a lot of democrats feel this way about the libertarian nutjobs in silicon valley. When compared to Wall Street these democrats simply say it's different, the silicon valley guys are actually contributing to society. In the end democrats and republicans are differing shades of shit.

Wait, so that's why you like the show? Because everything you mentioned is pretty much why I loathe it.

Yes, screw those people for caring about equality and other namby pamby horseshit. They're just the worst.

I love how one of the protesters was quoted as saying something like if you're a professional in a uniform you should keep your personal opinions to yourself. Not sure if the protester herself was a cop, but I really love how irony is lost on these people.

Kevin, it's ok, we still hate you.

Fargo wasn't based on a true story and Pain and Gain was. I don't have a dog in this fight just pointing out why that's not a particularly good comparison.

Well when you look at how many shows still depict gay characters and subject matter that way, I don't think you can simply attribute the way Bob's Burgers handles their characters to the changing social mores of our time.

I don't have any examples off the top of my head, but they do this a lot with Bob. It may be simply Benjamin's delivery but there have been a few times where Bob is reacting to something with surprise rather than the disgust that would be typical of other shows dealing with similar subject matter. It's so damn

This is a man who told his daughter she should be proud to be an elitist on national television, just a little more background info on where this douhce is coming from.

For some people giving Sorkin the benefit of the doubt by explaining that he wanted to provoke a discussion and how he didn't come down on either side and that we weren't supposed to sympathize with Don, well then you're obviously new to Sorkin because he always has an agenda, he always takes a side and he always

Maybe the problem is that Sorkin doesn't have the delicate touch needed to address this sensitive issue.

TOS is hard for beginners to digest. It's so of it's time that unless if you have already bought into what Trek is it can be hard to penetrate. TNG post season 3 is probably the best place to start, as well as DS9 of course.

I believe he is a fan so it could be he actually did want to do it.

Cullen's a weird cat. I find his standup to be interminable but when he's just riffing and improvising he's absolutely hilarious. Maybe it's because when he's put together a show he's overthought it to death and it doesn't play well to his strengths but it's just such a strange dichotomy with the guy.

I don't know, not having the faces being able to have one last performance really kills me.
