We get it, you're on the shows crotch, will you just shut up. It's not like it's your show.

Todd nailed it with the like-a-joke comment. It seemed almost Big Bang Theory bad in terms of them going through the cadence of a joke but there being no humor there.

Well the thing with the show, and people will crucify me for it, but they've always embraced the tropes they've mocked. That's nothing new.

I don't know about Britta, she seems to have become a caricature.

I don't know, CGI bloodletting really turns me off. Rambo would've been so much better than it was (which was still pretty damn good) if they had used practical effects. I can't see my enjoyment of Live Free hinging upon the addition of even more CGI

I've actually heard tokenism thrown out for movies that Will Smith has done because the issue of race is rarely brought up. And even some of Denzel's movies. Many of it comes from the African American community, but still.

Trying to, he's already there.

There was, but it wasn't the X-Men show that everybody remembers.

@avclub-9bde0966a254ae14403aff3c9af2a06f:disqus He co-wrote Anderson's first three films; Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, & the Royal Tanenbaums.

That would've been so awesome if it was.

And the co-writer of many of his movies, which has always boggled my mind, mainly because like you, he will always be Hansel to me.

I'm a DC guy, or I was, and even I am not familiar with that comic.

I'm not defending Hollywood by any means, but they kinda of get into a bit of a damned if they do damned if they don't situation. Because if they do cast let's say an Indian in a role that isn't a walking stereotype then they're accused of tokenism. Obviously there's a fine line and Hollywood very rarely bothers to

You see I don't get that, American Dad just isn't funny.

Same thing with Gaiman, although Gaiman has done more than most to distance himself from the "church" (without being an outright apostate)

Well he did own Pixar.

Ugh, are you one of those unbearable people who think (attractive) people can't just be friends?

For some reason I can't edit my comment. The big irony here is as you've said, any detractor even one's with reasonable problems with the show are considered misogynistic parasites when some of the problems people can actually have with the show are about some of the negative stereotypes it perpetuates about women.

I'm sure part of the extreme reaction to the show is based on what you've said, and unfortunately that extreme reaction has made people who have altogether reasonable qualms with the show become tainted by the vitrol.

Too bad there aren't any ties in hockey.
