I'm really enjoying Anson Mount, and I appreciate that he's a man of few words.  I think he's doing all he can with what he's given.  I just read a quiz on AMC:

I agree, I got the word "extort" from the recap on the AMC website where it said Durant said to Lily "Extortion doesn't become a lady. I will not fall prey to it."

Yes, I considered that a teaser, and I'm actually looking forward to next week for once because of it, but I don't want to raise my expectations too high.

I think they're purposefully aiming for a broader audience.

The race made me wonder about "horsepower".  Doesn't it take quite a while for that train to get up to speed?  And it looked like they were adding split logs to the fire, that isn't going to help in a sprint, is it?  I'm not much of a stickler for accuracy, I'm only wondering if it was such a sure thing that the train

That was awkward when Drunk Steve asked Common if "they" wanted their nappy heads scalped when Common was bald.  Is Common supposedly shaving his head daily and not his beard?

Another thing that happened: Lily decides not to extort Durant and gives him the maps showing the route over the Rockies, after overhearing Senator Crane accuse Durant of  embezzlement.

Looks like we're going to have to review the basic plot points for the rest of the season on our own in the comments.

I want to see the next four episodes much more than I want to get caught up on The Walking Dead.

I was waiting for the fifth episode to see if I agreed with what TVDW said on the premiere review.  I do.  I'm in.

Well, no, I wasn't "eager to find out whether Bohannon knew he had been wronged" because that was made clear last week.

I went back and watched Doggie Duty and I liked it much better sober.  Obviously the only thing that made me cringe last night was not the comedy but literally the idea of "Doggie Duty (doodie)".  I also remember liking that previous sketch now that you bring it to mind.  So I now stand by my original statement that

That didn't make much sense.

These live samples are really not helping your case.  These songs are the worst kind of pop.  It's not bubble-gum-dumb enough to be fun or a guilty pleasure, and it's not good.  But I don't like these dumb songs any better from better singers like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston or Celine Dion, either.  Adele was good.

I don't understand why Lorne insists on the card-reading.

Love it.  If they absolutely must repeat something ad nauseam this would be my pick to see again.

When did he do Al Roker?  There were an insane number of impressions packed into this show.

I wouldn't feel geezerly so much as discerning.

Yes, SNL, if you insist on running recurring characters into the ground, more Drunkle, please!

The CVS lady was my spittake of the night.  It's funny because it's true.
