Me too, I was thrilled by the flashback.  Then came here and read that it left Donna cold, but she thought the GPS scene was thrilling.  Huh.  I guess it really was a gift that the opening warning and teaser that spoiled the impact of the flashback for some was not played at the Alamo Drafthouse where I watched it.

Never heard of that, either.  The dictionary says "hand in cap, referring to a drawing before a horse race".  Do they mean drawing numbers from a hat?

What?  He was attempting to make a connection.  He seemed to be keeping his language purposefully elementary and relatable, on Hank's level, unlike the earlier showboating of his knowledge in Hank's bedroom (right before they at walt's Jr. watched Gale's karaoke).

I had myself in Walt's shoes the whole time, and that was my instant evaluation of the situation, and then I asked myself what could be done about it, and decided what I would do (posted above) a bit before he got out of the car.  And I don't say that in a superior way, in the past Walt has been steps ahead of me.

Yes, then in light of that, imagine how Gus felt about Walt having Jesse execute the other chemist Gus fostered by financing his education and getting involved in the drug trade.  Brutal.

I watch this show because it's the best thing on TV and I love it?

Oh, I totally believe she's being stupid, the writers just beat me over the head with how careful she wanted to be and I believed them.

I can't wait until we actually start treating gay people equally.  Who gets bent out of shape when someone wonders if a straight person is married or in a relationship?

I think it's about time someone protects the family from the one who protects the family from the one who protects the family.  Better call Saul!

Sobbing at witnessing your best friend shot in the head - so gay, amirite?

He seemed so shaken by the poster of Victor in the hallway, that I started to doubt he'd been briefed, but I guess that could be explained a bit later by what we learned in the flashback.  Gomie and Merkert are a little too dismissive, and Merkert really wanted to transfer him to the front lines before his shooting,

Skylar is really overdoing it with the car wash talk.  Here's her dinner-table babble:

Why should Walt let her fuck it all up because she doesn't trust Saul?  Tough.

Well, sure, but that fear would give me a better poker face in front of Hank.  Walt sure let Hank see him sweat.  Hank told him the GPS wasn't live, so chill.  Playing it cool is first priority.  Where's Heisenburg when you need him?

Oh, but if "they" are in on it, did they not have a chance to give Gus a heads-up before calling him in for the interrogation?
Hmmmm…

Comment misposted itself: I hate DISQUS

I liked the hospitality angle, where Tio refused to set out glasses for the "guests" and now Gus has banquet-dressed tables, glasses for everyone and crudites.

I think he plans on leaving it on his car whenever he is going somewhere expected.  He plans to let Hank retrieve it.  He just didn't want it recording the visit to Tio.

Saul certainly knows how to store the piles of cash somewhere better than Skylar.

Like she couldn't just pile them neatly on the floor where they fell?  (Let alone return the money to Saul as I said on an earlier thread).  At least the bags in the crawl space are apparently leading to something.  That will be great if her dumb idea gets them caught up, with all the nagging Walt about being careful.
