What the movie really fails to succeed at is making Gage (or any other  reanimated thing) as creepy and horrifying as the book did.  The things Gage says and the way he acts are terrifying with only a paragraph or two.  The movie completely removes that.

'Misery' is definitely personal but it's more like Tom Hanks being kidnaped and tortured by a psycho fan.  Not that it isn't personal but reading PS you could feel a man emotionally pulling apart while losing his family.  What made the story cohere was that a normal, successful individual completely broke away.  And

I think people confuse writing 1,100 pages as being prolific or adding anything to the overall feeling of the novel.  As much as I liked "IT" there were several hundred pages that could have been taken out, despite the fact that I really enjoy the book and think it's one of King's best.  I love "Rage" and actually

And, yes I do actually love you.  *hands over varsity football jacket*  I… I want you to… to wear this. Fictitious horror movies aside, we can make this work.

I love you but you're and idiot; these movies, while not cinematic gold are clever and damn effective of giving you a scare.

It's hands down his most personal book.  There are passages that are out and out heartbreaking  and it has some of his most creepy, keep-you-up-at-night reading he has ever produced.  People will make arguments for "IT" or "The Stand" and while both fine novels, I have always thought "Pet Sematary" to be his best.

I can't read.  And I'll thank you not to laugh.

There's a third [REC]?  Damn, I really liked the first two.  This is probably something I'll watch even if it gets killed by the critics.

That was fucking hilarious.  Seriously, I can't stop laughing.  "Heeeere comes Mr. Meatloaf."

…but what I'd really like to do is direct.

The only thing that would make this better is calling it "Rape Alf".
