I remember the episode, but not as a particularly scary one (it WAS well done, and had some creepy moments)  - I remember it from all the hype about John Davidson starring.  Not sure whatever happened to him, but at the time he was a ubiquitous talk show guest/singer/actor, known for being squeaky clean and

I voted for Pigeons from Hell because I just found out (in this article) that it existed.  I've never seen it (though I used to catch Thriller episodes back when it was syndicated, before any of you were born), but the Robert E. Howard story it's based on is in fact pretty scary.

Don't know how old your kid is, but it's almost never too early to start reading this to him or her.  My youngest daughter was 2 1/2 when I read it to her and her slightly older sister.  They both loved it, and  both got the puns, or most of them.

It's a wonderful book, and I recently re-saw the Butch Patrick movie (I have it on vhs!).. it was okay.  I think if Pixar snapped up the rights (something I guess they're not likely to do, they seem to just do their own stories) it could be a great movie.  Otherwise, not.

I KNEW there was something bad about Pasadena…!

Sierra Madre's nice — until you see the movie Testament, which was filmed there.  Then it's still nice but you can't help but think of the town covered with blackened leaves and dying of radiation poisoning from a nearby atomic blast.

When the apocalypse comes, I'm moving to the Huntington.  Not sure what I'll guard it with - my killer robot army is still on order.  But man, what a nice place to own that would be….

San Marino's exclusive park cracks me the fuck up.  If I recall correctly, it's actually not open to non-residents, except on 4th of July?  Even San Marino people have to admit that America is more important than them.  Slightly.

It doesn't make sense to me, because I've only heard the first couple episodes.  But man, it IS funny, and creepy, and somehow… soothing….

I didn't find JFK to be unrealistic… that is, if you are in line with Every Single Conspiracy Theory and are able to mash them all up into one movie, connected by the thread of Kevin Costner's whiny voice.. it's a perfectly reasonable movie!

So, so many likes, Sajanas….

2 and a half decades, but yeah, I agree.

Hey, spoilers, man!!!   *I* was thinking it WOULD go back and to the left, and now you're telling me it didn't!  You've ruined the show for me.

Savages is, though I haven't seen it, a tragic waste of movie making time.  Know how I know? 'Cause it was one of Don Winslow's (in my opinion) weaker books, and it was STILL a very good novel, with suspense, humor, characters, plot…. you know, the things you might want to put in the movie you make of the book, I'd

….YET….!

I agree completely with Evil Star-Burns.  Stone has just noticed that everyone in the media is talking about Breaking Bad; he's probably bothered that Britney Spears' opinion of the show got more attention than… I don't know, whatever he's doing.  Basically it's cheap publicity, because any media outlet is going to

Hey, did those "ridiculous 15 minutes of a movie" he watched include the scene where Walt and Flynn are watching Scarface.  Because, yeah.  I think Scarface is ridiculous too.

Here's my every-couple-months-or-so chance to point out that the 70s were a magical time, in which Walter Matthau could be (and was) a credible hero of action movies.  Pelham, Charley Varrick, The Laughing Policeman, plus if you stretch it to 1980, Hopscotch.
All excellent movies, and all movies that, if remade today,

Man, it DID get some bad reviews, as I recall.  I checked it out from the library soon after it came out on VHS and I really liked it.  So there.

I'm pretty sure he's not really dead.  Have you seen Agents of SHIELD?  Might be that Walter White is resucitated so that he can run a rival organization.  I'll go with Advanced Idea Mechanics — he's got a MODOK sorta look to him.
